My chromecast don't work since the update. (both of mine). All I get is a spining circle, then a black screen.  Emby appear to think it's streaming.

 

The livetv / transcoding appear to be going a little crazy as for a single stream is starts 9 instance of ffmpeg!! (all with the same command line); there is also 9 transcoding logs.

 

I generated some log by: restating the server, connecting to the chromecast, start a live tv channel... 

 

will PM you the logs.

Since the update i cant add a new media library I add it and shows it there but doesnt show up on any of my device and when I try edit the folder i just get a constant spinning icon :-(

Just got new server 3.2.35.0 and all my collections have gone.  

 

Having just converted up from the old style cause you mucked up the one release, finding this VERY FRUSTRATING.  This is getting worse than windows.  FULLY TEST PRIOR TO RELEASE!

@uksmadloki - Can you confirm if this resolved your issue? I am not upgrading again just to go through another round of broken libraries and collections.

Change has messed up every one of my library entries. Had them set up " Save artwork and metadata into media folders" and not to "Enable photos" in other libraries. These were all altered; had I done a library scan with these changes - it would have skewed everything I had set up.  If modifications you are doing are changing people's defaults and settings - this is not good.

EDIT:

I take that back; I could not make any changes to settings; it would not save them - reverts them to "Save Artwork and metadata into media folders" unchecked ; and "Enable photos" checked for "Home videos & photos" libraries. Other libraries were also not accepting changes. I had to create a bogus library to get the server to pick up the existing libraries and their configs

After updating and restarting my entire library was missing.  I re scanned the library but only one tv show was under continue watching and the only other media I could access was through a playlist.  After many more library scans and just before I was going to to delete all of my libraries and then re add, I decided to check the user permissions.  Sure enough the update removed all user permissions.  Hope the helps if anyone finds themselves in this situation.

I'm having the same issue with new items are not picked up in scan since this update. My user settings for library access were lost as well, but I was able to get that re-setup. I also lost my view settings for that user.. The only remaining issue im having right now is the library scan not picking up items.

Just updated to version 3.2.35.0. It seems that all was fine but I'm not able to start Windows service: progress bar hangs up at about half and then error 1053 is shown. Emby icon in tray bar, conversely, works fine

Updated to version 3.2.36.0.

 

Loved the new "Director" and "Genre" positioning on the movie main display.

I don't update very often but last night I updated and it broke all the folders.

at first I thought no big deal i will delete and add them back as this happened before a few updates ago which is why I do not allow automatic updates.

 

but running 3.2.36.0 as of this morning and no items, deleting and recreating folders did not resolve, scan of library ran for a while but did not resolve.

 

also I noticed that the reporting item is gone. I used to use that Item to see what shows or movies my children have watched.

 

I saw in a earlier post that the permissions where removed. I checked and that was the issue.

so I have access to the media, but in what update did you all remove the reporting or has it been moved and I just don't see it.

Hi there, apologies for the disruption. The reporting features have been moved to a plugin called Emby Reports, which you can install from the server plugin catalog. Thanks.

I am also having issues with Emby Server Service. It appears that it actually is running though. When I have it run via the tray the icon disappears and I can log off the user account and my emby server is still running. Was this a deliberate change?
