A Modern App for Modern Times

The interface for this app has been built with HTML, but this is nothing like the web apps you're accustomed to. This has been built purely with modern features that bring a level of performance that wasn't even possible a year ago at this time. For the nerds out there, that means WebAnimations, WebComponents, Service Workers, Polymer, and on and on.

Details Gone Vertical

A common complaint over the detail screen of the current Emby Theater is that it's pretty but slow to navigate. We went back to the drawing board and decided to take a little inspiration from Android TV. It is now much, much faster to browse through detail screens.

Only used it for a little bit and it looks great!  A few things I noticed was the check boxes in settings would not highlight, and if you selected the box nothing appeared to happen until you left  the settings page and went back in, then it would show the green check mark in the box.  The Spinning Circle in the center of the loading screen is very flaky, showing a black box flickering around it as it loads. Cast and Scene selection do not load on a movies page, even when checked in settings.  Movies load and play beautifully, except for my recorded 4k home movies were not loading images for the video or playing them.  Other then that looks great and feels great. Awesome job!!!

Come on Luke. Once again, US only, at least for now! I'd love to give this a shot, but am in the UK. Is this a chosen restriction, or something to do with Samsung?

One important question for me, will this Samsung TV app force a refresh rate change based on the source content? I'm assuming there will be very little transcoding required as well - 2015/2016 Samsung TV's support all the major codec's in hardware.

For thouse outside US, is there an alternate way to get the app installed? My newest TV is the only one lacking Emby!
