Beginning June 1st, we will be removing support for previous MB 2 Supporter keys in the MB 3 Server and removing this field from the product.
As long as you get your MB 2 key in before this date, you will get credit for any MB 2 registrations. After that time, it won't be possible to enter the old key and the system will stop checking against the old database.
We aren't making this move to try and take anything away but the old MB 2 database is being shut down and we want to remove this

This time it’s mostly about playback and minimizing the the server cpu usage.
Thanks to changes made in the server on the latest release combined with changes in the app we can now play mp4’s and avi’s directly without the need to transcode nor remux if the codecs are supported natively.

The anime metadata plugin has finally been updated to support some major changes that went though a while ago to how metadata providers worked in Media Browser. The plugin has largely been re-written, and is now compatible with the improved customization options available in MBS, while also bringing a few new features and numerous bug fixes. Finally!! I'm very pleased to announce that the Android MediaBrowser client now supports Chromecast. Everyone who has a device running Google Play Services 4.2 should see it in the coming days.
Chromecast will behave like it does in most other clients. Select a route using the route selector and then the play actions will play on the selected Chromecast device.

This release will re-scan your library. Please be patient. Also review your user library sharing because you may need to reconfigure some of them.
Finely grained control over metadata settings. Choose where your metadata comes from, prioritize internet fetchers, and choose what formats your metadata gets saved to.
