This version is more or less instantly crashing on ubuntu 16.04... is this a known issue or should I try the beta?

I don't know what's going on. This update and last 1 or 2 updates have my CPU running constantly at 25% - 30%+ every time I open a config or library tab. When I close it, it goes back to normal.

This is s happening in my Firefox 51.0.1. I've tried opening it in Microsoft Edge and I didn't see that effect there. So, I completely uninstalled my Firefox and deleted everything (profile, etc) relating to Firefox. I did a fresh install with no plugins/extensions on and I end up with the same thing... the cpu running at 25%+ till I close the tab. Any explanation for this?

Man I wish you all would give us access to older versions. This kind of stuff is driving us nuts.I didn't have any issues a few updates ago.

Nice built =)

no problem for me with  caches in this built, running ubuntu 16,04 x64

no problem with cpu going up when connecting to the server.

runs very fast and smooth .

the only thing so far is that some movies have problem playing on a old  firetv but this is nothing new.

I'm running 16.04, works fine. Did you add any extra repos but emby one?

Also for me. Running 16.04 and it's running fine. Now even the hicups in playback over DLNA are gone.

Many unwanted changes with this version.  Backgrounds and images are being stored as hidden files, but that is not selected.  Extremely slow library scan.  Plain folder views gone.  The whole look and feel is different.

Hi, metadata are only saved as hidden files if enabled. The best thing to do is open a topic in the community and discuss your issues, and we'll get you squared away. Thanks !

I am sorry that you believe this is an Emby problem, but it is actually a Firefox defect. You can learn more here:

https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/43936-webclient-has-huge-cpu-usage-in-ff/?p=424266

Or on the Mozilla tracker:

Thanks.
