A new release of Emby Server is available. Here are the highlights.

A Beautiful New Video OSD

It has the same great features as before but now comes with a sleeker look. It fluidly animates in and out as you become active or idle.

A New Now Playing Screen

We've given this a fresh design and we think you'll be pleased with the results. Now you can easily re-order your now playing queue, remove items, and even save the queue to a playlist.

Is audiobook resuming in this build?

EDIT: Saw it in previous patch notes, will troubleshoot.

Been absolutely loving the new OSD on the beta builds - how do you get the chapter view? Thought it was removed, but it's present in your screenshot.

I'm using ds214play, and I added the community url but there no update for my server. Why? For my version there's no update?

What is the difference between 3.1.4 and 3.1.5?

3.1.5 addresses a regression with Dlna Play To and also slips in one additional change for audio books.

Looks great to me! 2 minor things, is there a way to set the skip forward/back times somewhere on the new player. Also, my custom CSS code for captions appears to be broken using the new player. Not sure if it's my code or a change in the way things are done. This is all I have for custom CSS code:

::cue {
    background-color: transparent;
    text-shadow: 0px 0px 10px #000;
}

It just displays it normally now with a black box (background) around the captioning.

Hi, you can customize your skip times if you use Emby Theater. Take a look at that at http://tv.emby.media

Nothing is broken in regards to CSS, but if you use that feature then you are expected to be able to handle these kinds of changes with new releases. If that sounds like too much for you, then you probably don't want to use the feature. Thanks !

Just played something and noticed the Video OSD was different and then found a new Emby version was released. Just wanted to drop by and say fantastic work on the new VideoOSD. It pauses when space bar is hit and best of all stays fullscreen when going to the next episode. On top of that it looks sleek and amazing. Maybe a couple of ideas is just show movie or episode info on an overlay when paused and a season -> epsiode selector as a button similar to what is on Netflix. Thanks again for the amazing work done on the new VideoOSD.

For what apps is the OSD video available for.  I'm not seeing any difference when using the web.  I pause, I fast forward, I rewind, I place the mouse cursor on the play bar and drag it only to the time box. No OSD Video. Is there a setting that needs to be toggled?  I have version 3.1.5 loaded.

Hi, we are going as quickly as we can with the deployments across all operating systems. Thank you for your patience.

Am I just too stupid to see it, or was the i-button to display movie-info during playback actually removed? (Or I just imagine it was there?)

if you're using the packing in debian the nameing of the version breaks things with the previous version, IE:  It thinks it's a downgrade and that's why it is not being offered.

To force the install of the package use:  sudo apt-get install emby-server=3.1.5-15.1

The reason for the fail is because:

3.1.283~beta-13.1 0
3.1.5-15.1 0

283 > 5

maintainers should use the epoch value for cases like these.  http://www.fifi.org/doc/debian-policy/policy.html/ch-versions.html is a good write up on debian/ubuntu versioning.
