"There was an error in HTTP Response. That could mean that malformed HTTP." or other errors. Not working either of my rokus or pc.

Plays perfectly on Kodi but not working on emby at all unfortunately. I'm using Channel Pear m3u for the most part. Now that these issues have arose I began creating custom m3u8s and it worked so I took the file and updated it to included episode and logos and re-uploaded it assuming all would be well and then it didn't work again. Deleted and uploaded original plain m3u8 and not working now either. Stream links are 100% valid and working. Anyways help anyone? If I could at least get channel pear to work on here that would be perfect. It shows the data but it simply refuses to play on all of my m3u or m3u8 links or files.

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue:

Thanks!

Hi I tested it again now and same thing although surprisingly CBS worked though the others refused. I see 2 logs from testing it on the page do I send both? Additionally I sent logs on the roku too.

EDIT: I do want to clarify the others I tried are 100% working on both Channel Pear directly and Kodi.

I am also having this problem.  Any updates? This is not working on 2 different rokus, my pc, or emby xbox app. I noticed there has been a couple updates with emby within the last two weeks.  Something must have changed in emby to cause this issue.  Yes, the streams are working within channel pear.

Can you attach the emby server and ffmpeg log as well from the same session? Thanks.

From the app side, all we see is the source failing with the message you reported.  The server side logs may show us the real issue.

Hi. None of those logs match the log you sent from the app - which was yesterday.

We need the complete context of a particular problem at the time the problem occurred.

Thanks.

Can you try lowering the in-app quality setting on the Roku so that the server does a full transcode? Thanks.

Is there anyway I can rollback to emby server version 4.3?  I can then shut off auto updates.  Channelpear worked great with that version.

Tried quality at 480p and 720p, streams still not working.  Just get the same http error on the roku.

Can we see log examples from that? thanks.

Channel pear has been down for a couple days so I have not been able to reproduce this error.  I will post my error logs when channel pear is working again.

Just received this error on a TCL ROKU TV last night.    What logs/files would be helpful in determining a possible issue?

i've been able to re-create on the TCL Roku, and on a Roku streaming stick.  Here is an excerpt from the logs when it occurred.

Is this new issue with the VirtualTV plugin, all the errors appear to be with VirtualTV? @pünktchen

One or two other users already reported something similar, but I've never seen the emby log that corresponds to the error. @speechles wanted to have a look.
The problem is not the plugin or the server, it's the Roku app that doesn't react like every other Emby app does. I can only tell you how the plugin works:
When the user starts playing a live tv channel and the server asks the live tv plugin for a channel stream, the plugin returns the path to a local one minute long mp4 file and all the mediainfo of that file. The plugin then listens for session events for client playback start of the live tv channel. If that happens the plugin tells the server to send a remote play command with a list of videos to the client app. That's it! Works in browsers, Theater on windows, both Android apps and also with LG tv's.
