m124 0
Hi All I've updated to beta 1.7.96g and this resolved the crashing on play for older android tv versions (i think this is 5.1.1). Now there is no audio on anything we play. initially things were working fine! I submitted a debug from within the app and embyserver.txt attached. please let me know what else will help and where else i can look Thanks embyserver.txt
Luke 37008
Hi there, can you go over an example of what you're playing? thanks !
m124 0
Hi Anything that we play on this now has no sound, do you need specifics on the container and mediainfo or a title for the logs? ebr 14903
Hi. What kind of equipment is involved and how is it hooked up? It looks like the system is reporting support for DD+ but it doesn't actually work. Using the "Playback Correction..." menu option should get your sound back. m124 0
Hi TV is a JVC 4K Smart TV running Android tv 5.1.1 (from memory); it is connected using ethernet. Emby is running on a synology 1815+ as a docker image other emby endpoints are working fine. I'll try the playback correction and let you know I set the TV to downmix to stereo but then playback was spedup like it was seeking forward... and still no sound

Hi ebr, Other than general bass, treble etc there's no other audio settings within the TV menu. there are SPDIF settings, this is set to auto; but I'm not using this! its all built in. I'm really at a loss at whats gone wrong! i might reset the emby app settings and start again later today and let you know how that goes, other than that I got nothin! m124 0
so I've tried the following: reset app data and cleared cache - no sound installed firefox and played title using html interface (performance was terrible) - no sound played title on PC via web interface and cast to tv using built in AirPlay app (Eshare Server) - Sound! this is really weird! chinswain 10
I have the same issue on AndroidTV with Emby (both latest Betas, direct stream via exoplayer). For me it's only on surround sound (more than 2.0 channels) that's the issue, I can hear sounds but no voice (center channel). I assumed my issue was due to an update to the AndroidTV. I'll see what's been updated in the rom and roll it back to see if it's last Synology emby update (4.4.0.30) or not.

m124 0
I did install the android app (not the android tv app) when i was trying to get the debug version to work, and navigation was impossible within this version of the app on the TV and i think playback was abysmal; unless this has been updated within the last week or so? If i can get chrome casting to work that would be good (am working on it), but it seems to work using the eshare airplay cast which is an OK work around for now (and also means audio is working from within android tv ecosystem) not sure what the hell has happened to emby but something is up happy to continue to try and debug with you guys if you can see something is up, or its something screwy with the old android version on this tv? m124 0
ok emby android app sound plays but no picture it is stuck like the attachment, the circle sorta spins but no video only way to exit is to press stop on remote and press the back button, keyboard and built in mouse (logitech) was unresponsive; so no change from last time i tested also when using the remote to navigate in this version of the app you cant see where the cursor or selection is so its useless without a kb & mouse switched back to android tv app version, still the same no sound

m124 0
Thats the version that is appearing in the app store on the TV; i double checked it again and there's no other version available unless theres an apk to side load i am not sure now!
