Hi, is any emby server log generated under:

/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.emby.embyserver/files/logs

? Have you tried rebooting the Shield?

OK you're actually on the 4.5 beta server. Yes there is an issue with that. For now you'll need to use the stable release. Thanks.

I tried to install the stable version but he will not install...

Try uninstalling the beta first.

You'll need to go into your APPs and uninstall Emby Server from there.'

But too, you should be able to use Downloader and install v4.4.0.40 from there; as long as you haven't deleted the APK after download.

- when i uninstall emby server do i loose the coverart from my music library? That would be awfull: it was a lot of work.

- I never use downloader but file commander. That about the same i think? That does not work, i get a message : update not installed.

- or should i wait for the next update ?

Me too on the same boat. My emby server is currently shutdown until the next 4.5 version is added to the beta. I should not have jumped into installing the 4.5 so early.

I believe you'll lose all the coverart and other customized settings unless you have a proper recent backup to restore. I'm a emby premiere user and may have a recent backup but still it involves little effort to make sure everything is back to normal.

Hopefully next time around if the developers are already aware of a major issue with a beta build, they can possibly update a older version with a newer build number so that the users are not affected much. Now that most people around the world staying at home, it's hard time with Emby unusable.

Yes, if you uninstalled the beta, you'll loose your database, entries, user settings, etc.

You should be able to downgrade to v4.4.0.40 by downloading and installing the APK.

OK, thanks for the reaction.

to be sure: should i copy : com.emby.embyserver completely, or a subdirectory.

The whole thing, or temporarily rename it, uninstall, then reinstall, then rename it back.

You could back up the program data directory first though and then restore it.

@@Luke, so if we backup the /ROOT/Android/Data/com.emby.embyserver/files/data folder, we can restore this after doing a fresh install for everything to return?

Will this work if we were to copy the data folder from one server to another?  For example, copying from a linux(deb) to sheild?

Thank you..
