Hello,

For some reason on my roku devices I get getting signed out of the emby server.

This only happens on my roku devices.

I have the setting "Remember me" turned on.

The emby app on my android phone works perfectly, my userName stays signed on and I can quickly access the media.

Mind you, I do not use the roku devices every single day so maybe that is causing the sign outs ?

Is their a user timeout on these roku devices that I am not aware of ?

Its frustrating to have to input the password every single time I want to use emby on these roku devices.

Thank You

Use your Emby server dashboard. Find the devices tab. On that tab you will see all the Roku devices that have used the server. Delete all the devices that show as a Roku. Do not worry the Roku devices will be able to still connect. The devices will recreate after their initial connection. This is just a list to show who has connected to your server and with what application. It keeps track of their authentication token.

After you delete the devices go to the Settings of the Roku app. Choose "Reset Settings" and exit the app with the home button afterwards. Then restart the app and it should now remember. You will have to enter all your information again but it will be remembered after this step.

Please let us know if this does not work for you. Thanks. :)

Hello,

I did what you layed out.

I am able to sign in normally on the roku device.

I'll keep this thread open for the next few days to see if the login stays on the roku device.

Thank You

Thanks for confirming.

The reason this happened is earlier versions of the application may not have saved everything. There is an issue with Roku task threads in earlier versions of the app that may not have saved user credentials. The latest version of the application on both the Roku store and the Roku beta both work correctly storing credentials and should never suffer this issue again. We apologize for the interruption. Glad we could help you. :)

Oh ok, so there was an actual back-end issue with this.

I was thinking its just me and my server behaving strange.

I was actually debating to even make this thread cause it sounds so simple of an issue that I could have been overlooking some setting that is right in front of me.

Thank you very much

You did the right thing. Even if it were your overlooking something or a setting you had incorrect that would mean things were not intuitive. It would mean things were not as clear as they should be. It would mean we overlooked something. But this isn't the case. It was just the old app had stashed the server addresses but did not stash a user credential with them. This is why you had to pick your user and enter the password every time. Once these are stashed the application doesn't stash them again until the device is removed on the server end. Then it will.

If you have the issue others most certainly are as well. But not everyone feels it important enough to post. Thanks for being the squeaky wheel. Apologies it was even as issue to begin with. Any other issues please bring them up. The faster your bring them up the faster we can fix them or let you know how to fix them. Thanks again. ;)

I have to report another problem on the roku premiere. If the subtitles are activated before playing a media, the media does not start. We must then exit the program because nothing is responding.

Thank you
