Twin Peaks & Log Lady Intros

So a kinda unique problem for this series and I would like to know how some of you might have solved it. 

Twin Peaks has the "Log Lady Intros" for each episode which where added afterwards but are now considered as essential. On the Bluray you can choose to watch the episodes with or without them, which of course doesn't work with emby. 

I have the intros and episodes as separate mkvs. I tried merging them with mkvtool but that only works when both have the same track layout. The intros only come in stereo, while the series also has a new 7.1 mix. Using stereo only I can merge the two and afterwards add the 7.1 mix with a delay. But then I would have to remember to switch audio tracks while watching. Considering all the remuxing it's kinda inconvenient. 

It would have been nice if 'TV shows' in emby had support for 'parts' like with movies. Then that would have been easy. But I understand why that's a very niche use case.

 

So the only other solution I came up with, would be adding the intros to specials and creating a playlist. 

 

Any other ideas?

Create 7.1 tracks for the intros (with the extra channels just being silent) and mux those in.

 

This is what I did in order to add the pre-show matches (which were in stereo) to a few of my WrestleManias (which were in 5.1).
