I downloaded xzeners icons and placed them in their genre folders. In Mediabrowser 3 classic I have 8 folders and all show the genre images EXCEPT for one…my Movie folder, it only shows Action for some reason. I tried pressing ctrl+r on the folders and scan my library + refresh people in MB3 server. Nothing.

Here is my Movie folder only showing Action.

and my Music Video folder showing all icons.

The 3.0.5028.39800 server update sort of fixed it… Its showing all the images but now my Movie folder is not showing suspense

Yet my Music Video folder is showing suspense but its blank even though I added the Folder.png to the Suspense folder. Plus its missing the two Sport folders…Nothing makes sense lol.

Here is my mb classic log, only thing I could find related to my genre problem.

That error is unrelated to the image.  Please post the entire log (not pasted in, but as an attachment or link).

Also be sure the "Suspense" folder is named exactly right (no spaces before or after kind of thing) and that the image in there is folder.jpg/png

do the images work in the web client? that's always the first place to start in situations like these.

Not showing Suspense or Indie. I checked the genre folder and both folders and images are name correctly.

Suspense and Indie with no spaces or anything weird like that, I renamed them just to be sure.

Attached my mbclassic log. I started up MB Classic and went into my movies and sorted by Genre.

There is two server logs. One is real long... The other, I created a new log and then went to open MB Classic and sort my movies by genre.

The genres aren't appearing at all in the web client.  Since they are appearing in MBC there must be some sort of issue with the indexing.

So I guess maybe he has some sort of mixed content in that collection that has those genres.  Still not sure why that is causing the images to not show though.  We need to know what is inside those folders in MBC.

Ah...looking at his log what he is indexing is music videos, not movies so we aren't even looking at the same set of genres.

MrKazador

do you have any movies with those genres?

I use MediaCenterMaster to grab metadata for my movies and IMDB doesn't seem to have a genre for suspense. Maybe that is the problem? From the hundreds of movies that I have, I would think at least one would be Suspense...

Right, the web client looks at genres within your movies and displays those. it doesn't display them just because there happens to be a folder under IBN. So if you don't have any movies with the Suspense genre, you won't see it in that view.

Indexing in MBC works generically by looking at all items of any type within a given folder. The movies view is only looking for movies.

Alright, that makes sense. I have MB3 server setup to NOT download metadata for my Music Videos so there is no .xml within the Music Video folders. It doesn't make sense why the Sport genres are missing and why Suspense and Indie are not showing folder images.
