AviatorBimmer 28
Hey guys, Does it really matter which version of nVidia drivers we install? nVidia has Game Ready and Studio versions of their drivers. From what I've read, it seems that Game Ready drivers are updates more frequently to keep up with the latest games, while Studio drivers are geared more towards creativity software users. If performance is the same between both and they both will work with the nVidia patch to bypass the 2 encodes sessions limit, I think the fact that you would get nagged much less with new updates when using the Studio drivers would give it an edge. What you guys think? PS. I don't game on my PC at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Guest asrequested
Doesn't matter. I started using the studio drivers because there was color incorrection with game drivers. I think it was bit depth related (slight color banding). Studio drivers had just started allowing consumer GPUs to have 30bit color depth, and that fixed the problem. Since then, the game ready drivers have been fixed. So you shouldn't notice a difference. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/75311-latest-win-10-with-latest-nvidia-rtx-driver/ Edited February 22, 2020 by Doofus
