Kodi upnp setting causing crashing

Hello,

since 2 days ago Kodi started crashing after approximately 8 minutes. I have no idea what causes it, but here are 2 files (with hopefully enough relevant information). I think Emby might be crashing it, but I'm not totally sure. I see some errors related to Emby, anyway.

https://filebin.net/fscdqdqx57yixlkn/kodi.log?t=8i8y2vqb (HUGE file)

https://filebin.net/fpfaazlwb8l8ddm2/kodi.log?t=m49mi1uv (smaller, newer file)

I should mention that this happens when idle and even when watching a video.

Kodi runs on a Nvidia Shield. I have two of them, but the other one is not having any problems thus far.

If someone can help me out, that would be great.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not quite sure. I see some errors regarding input (i.e. remote) but I'm not completely familiar with all the lines displayed.

Can you attach the whole thing? Thanks.

Here you go.

Two different logs. However, it's without debug on so I can turn it on if you want more details (but it will most likely be the same as the smaller log listed above).

Just let me know!

Here's another (bit bigger again, with debug on).

Can't figure it out.

You can ignore the "failed to find definition for setting" and I don't see anything special.

A shot in the dark:

Try to set the "logger buffer size" in the Android developer options to the max value. In the past this fixed Kodi instability for a lot of users.

If that does not help:

Drop your complete Kodi installation, restart from scratch with no addons installed except the Emby ones and use the Estuary default theme. If that works -> install your addons one by one and test it again.

If you are running a new Shield from the 2019 models -> Assign for the beta firmware channel and check the hotfix patches. ->

I’ve tried the logger option but that didn’t work. It’s funny because it’s the EXACT same system as upstairs and that one works fine. This one just crashes after exactly 8 minutes now, which didn’t happen before (still the same system and it’s been running a year without any issues). Anyway, I’ll keep monitoring and hoping it fixes itself but most likely I’ll reinstall (and for my sake it better be working then :P).

I think I fixed it. Disabling UPNP has helped so far. I hope it’s just been fixed for real now, but otherwise I’ll get back to you.
