Happy2Play 8140
That log doesn't show the missing episode being added. But that log only show one virtual item being removed. 2019-11-07 11:55:50.971 Info App: Removing virtual season The End of the F***ing World 2 Have no idea if this could be a migrated database issues as all of my databases are relatively new. myriaxis 3
How can I reset the real versus virtual status of the episodes without losing played status?
Happy2Play 8140
How can I reset the real versus virtual status of the episodes without losing played status? That is all in the database, Basically removing and re-adding media or libraries. But the question becomes why your database is not updating properly with library scans. How old is your Emby installation?
Happy2Play 8140
I guess one test would be create a new TV folder and add that folder to a new TV Library. Then add a couple of series to this new folder and see if you get the same results. This would validate my database theory. As a note all watched/played statuses are tracked by providerids (TVDB, TMDB, IMDB ids). Only time media can lose this status is if the media does not have one of these ids. myriaxis 3
My database was created in February 2018 unless it has been recreated during an Emby server upgrade/update. Just did a metadata refresh on each problematic episode. It seems to work. I'll know tomorrow if adding new episodes and scanning the library will work correctly. Solution ebr 14862 Posted November 8, 2019 Solution Share Posted November 8, 2019 OK, So if I do a library scan via the TV folder option, it has the same effects for the TV library as if I did the scan from Scheduled Tasks. Right? Please run a top level library scan before any further investigation. Thanks.
myriaxis 3
Hi ebr, Just to make sure I get it right, when you say a "top level library scan", it means a "Scan media library" from the Scheduled Task (Dashboard/Expert/Scheduled Tasks/Scan Media Library)? myriaxis 3
OK, I think the database inconsistencies are fixed. I added a few new episodes this morning. Before adding them, they showed as missing, which is OK since the files are not there. I added the files in their rescpective folders. Emby insicated that new episodes were available. These episodes still showed as missing, which is OK since I haven't run a media scan. I run a top level media scan ("Scan media library" from the Scheduled Task). The new episodes showed as not missing with proper episode image and text. So far so good. Thanks for all your time and help.
