Hi

On version 175, i still cannot listen any mp3 music playlist (while the playlist are visibles in the interface with all the music titles). I think it is still a basic functionnality that i would like to be repaired more than supporting multiple languages.

When i am starting any list, i got an error message on the roku screen. Same thing with all 3 roku devices i have (one premiere+, others stick devices).

The same music playlists are playing pperfectly well in the old emby blue neon light and even in the ugly roku basic media player.

Thanks for the effort

"Erreur de lecture no streams were provided for playback"

in a red box at the right bottom corner of the screen (this is happening no matter the m3u list used, only mp3 songs)

This is happening when using the button to play all the list. If I select a single song in the list, the single song will play, but i am getting all graphics are flashing on the roku screen, as i already got with previous versions!

We are working on correcting this problem. Most of the work to get this in has been completed it is just in the final phases of testing. Apologies for the problem. There will be fixes to correct this situation very soon. Please stay tuned. :)

We heard you loud and clear. You are right this is basic functionality. The next Emby beta will address these playlists created outside of Emby. When Emby imports these they will be available and work within the Emby Roku app. Apologies for the problem and thanks for reporting it. Please let us know if the next Emby Roku Beta does not solve the problem.

I will be in the row of the ones who would be happy to test the beta for this. Just report on which beta version i should expect to test this fix.

Thanks :)

At some point, i though this bug was gone, but it reappear (as i already reported it long time ago). Should i disable backdrop to avoid this. I remember that Speechles at some point told me that when there is no mre resource for the graphics, they are flushed and reloaded, which could cause the flashing of all graphics elements on screen?

Luke - is it possible to determine a media type for these externally imported playlists?

That is the issue - we don't have a media type on the list.

I have tested the latest beta 188 that finally repairs the music playlist issue partially. If there is any attempt to select an mp3 playlist and press the play button, it will now plays fine :) the whole list. But if instead of the play button, the mix button is pressed in the bar (button right of the play button), still same problem, an error message that looks like

"Erreur de lecture no streams were provided for playback"

in a red box at the right bottom corner of the screen

It seems that with this version, the very old bug that makes the graphics on screen flashing is now gone forever!!!

Yep. We spent extra time trying to end that flashing issue once and for all.

As far as your other problem with instant mix this is also corrected.

Oups. This is not released so far.

In official release v193, music playlist instamix is not fix (still got the same error, red box at bottom right)

In beta release 197, not working neither, but the error changed. We are now getting an error in the center of the screen

So what is fixed exactly???

There are also other bugs related to the playlist in release v193:

1- It seems to be limited to play a music playlist with max 100 tracks (even the old blue neon light version could play list with several hundreds tracks!) :(

2- When a music playlist is displayed, we can take the arrow keys to go bottom and horizontally scrolled through the track albums icon one by one. If we choose any of them then press select it, there is a menu with 2 choices, one of them is to queue all item from that point, but of what i could understand of the feature, it does not work: it will only queue the current selected track and nothing else...

1. Yeah. That 100 limit is low. It should be at least 200. Blue Neon Night let you pick what this limit was. But I think we should at least double the size of this to 200. I can address that.

2. The wording doesn't match the funcionality yet. It is supposed to do as the wording says and queue all from there or play all from there. But at the moment this is just passing the single item. I can address that too. That functionality was never added yet. We still need to have it add all the items after the one you selected to the queue/play all.

We have other music changes in progress so these both will be corrected very shortly.  Let me add these to the tracker.

Instant mix broke? Hmm. I rarely use that. Let me get that on the tracker as well.

When these are fixed I left links back to these threads in those issues on the tracker. We will reply back in those threads when these issues are addressed.

Thanks again for helping make Emby better. :)

I have several playlists which are big. I don't know why to add a limitation, but at least, if the 2nd issue is also fix, we could also choose where the 100 fits in the list instead of always playing the 1st tracks

Queue/Play from here functionality
