I cannot find the app anywhere after installing it (?)

Hello,

I own a Samsung Smart TV. The model is UE55KU7000, I believe.

I have inserted the USB stick with the userwidget folder into my TV.

A message saying that it's commencing the installation has appeared, and then it prompted that the app has been successfully installed.

However, I cannot find the app anywhere.

I realize this may be a stupid question, having looked it up I could not find any sensible information.

Thank you in advance for you help.

I have a 2018, so assuming Tizen hasn't changed too much this is how I can find it

Go to Apps

Scroll up to the top far right and click on Settings (the gear icon)

You should see a list of your installed apps.  Emby is probably the one far left if it was the last installed

To make it easier to find the app next time

From you installed apps list

Highlight Emby

Click "Add to Home"

You should automatically jump to the Home area where you can move Emby to the order you want it

The APPS app consists of dumbed down categories, i.e. "My Apps", "Video Apps", "Entertainment Apps", etc.

there is no installed apps list.

You would think it would be in "My Apps"

In the very top right-hand corner is there a gear icon?  It should say "Settings" if you highlight it.  That's where mine are

If not then I think @@SamES has K-series TV.

Sorry, I haven't had a K-series model for quite a few years now, but it should be the same as FrostByte's description.  Samsung haven't really changed this for a few years now.  Sounds like it might not have actually installed correctly if you can't find it.

@@Iddo were you ever able to get this working?  I think I may have just experienced the same issue of no icon being created after install and may have a fix.
