gwujkiw 2 Posted August 19, 2019 Share Posted August 19, 2019 I am getting a brightness or contrast fluctuation when using Emby Theatre on the PC in certain scenes. It gets brighter then darker. I have all the things that would cause something like this in the Samsung's actual tv's settings turned off such as dynamic contrast, etc.... I don't get this using other programs or windows or while watching from other sources. It also didn't happen with Plex. Any idea what would be causing this? hardware is a intel nuc8i5bek. gwujkiw 2 Posted August 19, 2019 Author Share Posted August 19, 2019 Other thing to note is if I have UHD Color on or off, which is what enables the expanded color gamut on the the samsung tv the same thing still happens when watching the movie. There is an option that calculates the peak brightness and then it will dynamically adjust based on the result. I've been having several performance issues with my W10 Emby Theater with HDMI AV (all audio options available) setup and my research leads me through several of his posts with non-working links. Problems like no CC for LIVE TV or TV recordings (still reliant on WMC for that), some audio sync issues with certain files too complex to briefly explain here, and like this particular post topic ... having dark scene fluctuation that may be solved using the peak detection no command. I'm not a savvy coding programmer so when it comes to scripting and configuring mpv.conf I'm lost. So I was hoping to find some working scripts that I could C & P and maybe stumble my way into cobbling something that works. Frustrating though that all these links don't work.
