pr3dict 33 Posted July 11, 2019 Share Posted July 11, 2019 Soooo for the longest time I've had my storage server running an NFS & Cifs/samba server and I'm trying to figure out if thats the right way to do things as I've had issues and I'm currently rebuilding my emby VM. Sonarr/Radarr VM & emby VM connect to the storage server via NFS All my clients (nvidia shield, PC's, mobile apps) have the path but I imagine they are using SMB. Should I not be doing it this way? I did the NFS between linux (debian) servers because I figured it was faster and safer on the data. Obviously using SMB also because of all the different clients. Any ideas? Should I change this up? I'm definitely using nfs shares between servers and cifs for windows clients and media streaming devices... I would mount to a local share in the OS, and then add that local path into Emby. the files are not "local" per say in that they are on a storage NAS.
