Any tips on how to connect to Synology? (switched broadband)

This morning an engineer switched my broadband from BT to Virgin, and since then I have been unable to connect to Synology.  I am unable to connect to quickconnect and Synology Assistant says I have a connection failure. The Synology is powered on and connected to my new router, but unfortunately I don't know how to connect to Synology (and by extension accessing Emby) so hoped you may be able to help.

Thanks, I'm flying out next Friday for a month so want to make sure I have Emby set up before then (my other thread and everything I have done with the help of this community was all in anticipation of my trip next week).

@@DarWun do you have any tips?

@@Luke Not off the top of my head. I did a quick google search regarding QuickConnect access issues and found a troubleshooting post in which someone stated "It could be that your home Internet IP has been changed by the ISP and the synology.me DDNS hasn't updated the records." Changing ISPs would result in the IP being changed, so I thought this might be a good point to start. Unfortunately this turned out not to be the issue in the particular thread I found, so there wasn't anything in the post identifying what to do if this happens.

I have QuickConnect turned off by default as I only access content on the NAS through the local network. So I haven't gone through the exercise of setting up. I'll take a look at it when I get home later tonight to see if I can suss something out.

@@hollerme Can you access external sites when using your NAS on your local network? For example, are you able to download packages from the Synology Package Center?

I enabled QuickConnect and setup a Synology account. So far I've been able to access the NAS remotely using the QuickID provided by Synology.

I unfortunately cannot access it. It worked perfectly fine with my original hub and when I plugged it back to that hub yesterday I was able to access Synology but not Emby, however BT emailed me to say they have deactivated the service so I can no longer access Synology through the BT hub and now need to find some way of accessing it through my new Virgin hub.

I also can't access quickconnect and received an email saying connection to username.synology.me has been lost. Please check the network connection of your DiskStation, and make sure its DDNS service is enabled.

Hi, I have an update.

I now have access to Synology but I can't access Emby. If I connect to Emby instead of giving me the option for my server it says: "No servers are available to connect to."

This problem exists on all my devices EXCEPT my smartphone and Android TV where it can connect to Emby.

It looks like we're at the cusp of solving this, and at least we've moved into pure Emby territory. Can anyone assist?

if i remember well synology quickconnect open your router port by dlna, you have and option for that too in emby, in advanced settings.
