Trailers is broken since latest update

When i try to play a trailer on an nVidia Shield device it appears that Emby crashes upon entering any movie title screen.

The shield becomes unresponsive and I have to hold down the home button on the remote to exit out of Emby and then force quit it in order to re-enter.

Sure.  I restarted server, and then did it again with Angry Birds 2 Movie trailer.  Log attached and picture of what the screen looks like when it has become unresponsive.

Are you able to play that trailer in the web app?

Yes it plays fine and I can access the title screen normally.

It is happening for all trailers accessed with the trailers plugin with the shield.

Local trailers in individual movie titles I have play fine.

Hi.  This is fixed in the current beta.  There was a server change the app wasn't ready for but it is now.

Thanks.

Just tried this again, using the most recent updates for trailers and server.  Still freezes then crashes. Nvidia Shield TV.

Right.  It is fixed in the beta of the app.

Well gee boss, thanks for that super helpful response and link showing me where to get the beta

For those looking, here you go: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/24350-android-open-beta-testing/

-Click the "Android TV App" link and follow the instructions on the page on the page to sign up (make sure you are signed in to google with the same account you use for your shield)

-Go back to your shield, click on Apps, then Get more apps

-Scroll down to "My Apps" and look for an update for Emby for Android (they say it can take a few hours, buy I was able to get it within 30 minutes by going in this way)

I'm now on v. 1.7.18g Registered (as of today, March 5, 2019), and trailers are no longer crashing the app.

They are still showing in the wrong order in the "Latest Trailers" section however, showing in reverse alphabetical order and starting with movies from 2017, although I'm aware from a different thread that this is a sorting issue that needs to be corrected.

Apologies for not providing the beta link but I'm glad that you found it. We'll have the fix rolled into the release channel soon. Thanks.

I don’t understand why the Android tv and apple tv apps are not in stable yet since they are better than stable apps. In apple tv it is slower to start live tv but at least it is deinterlaced so you can actually use it to watch videos which is the goal.

Because it takes time. We are working as hard and as fast as we can to get it released as soon as possible. Thanks.
