matt77303 1
Hi Playing around with the codec intros, the only one I can get to work is dts.mkv. Is there a list of file names the plugin is looking for? Can’t get any others to work. I’m guessing it pulling the codec info from the file itself and not basing it on the movie file name. Thanks Matt. Edited April 19, 2019 by matt77303
Luke 36886
I’m guessing it pulling the codec info from the file itself and not basing it on the movie file name. Correct. You can see this information in the Media Info section at the bottom of the web app detail screen for your movies. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks. matt77303 1
Thanks for the reply. So what should the intro be called if it’s say a Dolby soundtrack? Matt
Luke 36886
Did you check the codec name in the web app like I mentioned? What does it say?
matt77303 1
I’m at work atm, but I’m guessing by your reply what ever it says in the web app for audio codec should be the file name for the intro? matt77303 1
OK, strange Just got home and tried what you said. updated library via server. Got 3 files on my server, dts.mkv, AC3.mkv and H264.mkv Trying it on 2 films, 8 mile that has a dts soundtrack and is a H264 encode, play the film and the dts.mkv clips plays before, but no H264 intro. and 300 that has a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack (ac3 according to webapp codec info) no intros play, straight into film. matt77303 1
Sorted it. Was running a old version of Emby in a docker container, got rid of that and installed the latest version, all working. hstamas 153
Just in case anyone else is wondering if you can have more than one codec video for the plug in to choose from, yes you can. The wiki seems to read as you can only have one for each codec container (ac3.mkv, DTS.mkv etc.). All you need to have is a folder that has the name of the codec then you can put what ever files you want within that folder and it doesn’t matter what they are named. For example my setup looks like this and it works fine: Codec Intros/ /AC3 - ac3 file 1.mkv - ac3 file 2.mkv /DTS - waffle 1.mkv - waffle 2.mkv Etc. It’s important to do a FULL library scan after adding new files to these folders. I was just scanning my movie libraries after making additions and it wasn’t working.
