Angelblue05 4130
Also, was this after restarting Kodi? Please provide your log to go with your testing. It's the only way I can troubleshoot this. Sorry. Edited February 23, 2019 by Angelblue05
flatline69 27
No that was before reboot. So I rebooted and re-tested: 1) Select title from hub; 2 resume prompts (same as before), 2 titles ahead is where it landed 2) Context-menu on title: Play, resume prompt (proper timestamp) returns to hub 3) Context-menu on title: Play from here. 3 resume prompts, 1st is proper timestamp, 2nd is -1day, -3rd is -1 day and three titles ahead is where it landed 01_KODI.zip
Angelblue05 4130
And stuff without a resume point? Same thing? I don't understand why it stops again. That wasn't part of your log you showed me when you updated CE. <-- This is causing all the havoc with the skipping. That delay is not there anymore.... 2019-02-23 08:30:41.247 T:3386934128 WARNING: <[ webservice/3471755224/0 ] 2019-02-23 08:30:41.313 T:3386934128 WARNING: [ webservice/3499349456 ] path: /emby/kodi/movies/50240/file.strm?KodiId=1916&Name=The+6th+Day+%282000%29.mp4&Id=50240 params: {'KodiId': '1916', 'Name': 'The 6th Day (2000).mp4', 'Id': '50240'} Drastic measure. Can you send me your MyVideosxx.db database. You can pull it off using the backup option in the add-on settings... or whatever suits you. Something is also wrong with detecting the position tick. I'm not sure if it's a side effect of the skipping. You have sometimes, current position -1000000. Edited February 23, 2019 by Angelblue05
Angelblue05 4130
I will try something different in the playlist manipulation, since apparently CE needs to stop playback for some reason. I've only seen this on CE.
flatline69 27
Unwatched titles (no resume) skip one ahead I even made sure to reboot after sending you the DB file. EDIT: Since I've been going back and forth between beta/stable should I maybe wipe everything out Emby-wise and rebuild and re-test? It takes about an hour for me (large libraries) but might be worth a shot? Edited February 23, 2019 by flatline69
Angelblue05 4130
I don't think it will help. There's no real difference between stable and beta except for what we return when Kodi calls the add-on. Unless you think that would explain why the stop is happening again? In your log after updating CE, no stop. Now, it stops every time, which skips ahead one title. If you do go ahead, make sure you do a local database reset to ensure it wipes the database clean. flatline69 27
Attached. Tried my usual go-to title w/resume and other titles that I hadn't watched before. Rebooted and tested same way again. Only saw once (before reboot) where the title played as expected; after reboot a skip. Further testing led to delays in playback where I'd see a spinner endlessly. In some cases, I'd see the resume/start-over dialog before the emby-loading video. 01_KODI.zip

livin 4
I have this same problem, started today. If I use the file manager and play a video directly, it works great. It's getting frustrating about every two or three updates breaks kodi playback or library updates. I'm tired of repairing databases or wiping them and starting over. I want to go premier but I'm not spending money just to fund bugs that cause my family complaining to me it doesn't work. I'd use the emby app (maybe it doesn't have all these problems?) but kodi is far more functional & easier to navigate for guests and family. sualfred 677
@@livin Without a Kodi log it's impossible to say why you are having problems. Since Emby for Kodi is a community driven project - and is not related to the Emby crew - we have to work with the users hand in hand to get it working on all devices. And you don't need Premiere for Kodi at all. Please follow this instructions to report a problem: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/plugin.video.emby/wiki/how-to-report-an-issue But as @ mentioned, if you want a easy and fast integration, you can use his EmbyCon and my Embuary skin to get a nearly perfect Emby/Kodi experience. Just a few minor features are not working (Play from here, a few widgets, smart playlists, etc), but most of the core stuff is working great and it's a superb alternative. Plus you get other great features like fast user switching. We've spent uncountable hours for the seamless integration in this skin/addon combination. Give it a try. Are you on beta instead of using the stable version? As Sualfred said, this is really a community project, nothing to do with Emby. We work hard to bring the best of Kodi and Emby together. Beta is very much a wip. Use Embycon as an alternative. If you are unable to play content using the add-on, usually a Kodi log goes a long way. Even after wiping it it still has missing items. Wish I knew how many but because NOWHERE in Emby (mobile app or Library Web UI or Server web UI) can I see how many items Emby 'thinks' is there... all i know is I suspect about 10-20% of my videos are missing in Kodi library which show proper in the Emby Web UI. I guess I'll try Embycon.
Angelblue05 4130
Usually content missing is related to the wrong media type being associated with content. The addon pulls by library and media type. But without a log, there’s not much I can help you with. If you are interested in figuring this out, just pm me.
