@@hollerme, are you sure the ip address is correct for your server? Occasionally in some environments the server dashboard can detect the wrong address.

It was but for some reason I could only get it work when I went back to Synology and opened Emby from there.

I also managed to update to Emby Premiere on it so hopefully it's been sorted but will wait a couple of hours and try again.

It's working so far - thank you all for this, I am utterly grateful for each and every one of you for taking the time to reply and Luke for his continued help (I've had queries in the past which he resolved).

I have a new issue though - when I try to forward a film (or if trying from a laptop click a later moment in time) it doesn't work and instead plays the whole media from the beginning. Is there any reason this is happening and how can I fix it?

Can you please go over an example? What media, what app?

It's on Emby itself, whether I am playing it directly from my laptop or streaming it to the TV via Chromecast.

So for instance I tested Face/Off which plays except when I decided to click later in the timeline it instead reset to 00:00 and started from beginning. I tested it then with Die Hard with a Vengeance and had the same issue.
