It usually gets most updates to the video player a little earlier, so if the issue is resolved in that app, then it's a good sign that the fix will be coming to the android tv app as well. iBoss 23 Posted July 30, 2022 Author Share Posted July 30, 2022 Hi @Luke I know this is a very old topic ... but it is a same issue in the past you are using mpv player on emby android mobile which is a fully support ASS file (that was a feature). and my issue in this topic is this ASS does not work in emby android TV version which don't have mpv player embedded inside it now unfortunately, you seems change the internal player for emby android mobile too; for from mpv to another one which does not support ASS. So, emby android mobile and emby android tv do not support ASS anymore .... please is there any plane to support it. ASS is a very important format for anime and it is really a big feature that emby can operate it. I think you mean by yes it show the subtitle .. what I mean it is not fully support. The two attached screenshots give the difference between emby ios (perfect) and android 01: iOS and 02: Android please look at the top and bottom fonts. emby android use only its own one font for entire subtitle and ignore ass fonts.
