Emby Service fails to run after DSM update

Hello

I'm running an Synology DS211 NAS  and last night I updated the synology software to DSM 6.2.1-23824 Update 4.  Since this update my Emby service has failed to start.  Every time I try to run the service I get an error message stating "Failed to run the package service".  Before this update Emby was running perfectly without any issues.  As an experiment I've run some other synology packages which I had installed but were stopped just to make sure they could still run, and they do.

I'm not sure what to do next.  I guess I could uninstall and re-install the Emby package again but I'm reluctant at the moment as I would have to configure it again.  As anybody else had the same issue?   Any suggestions welcome.

thanks

Paul

Hi

Thanks for quick response.  Yes I've tried rebooting and it still does not start.  Is my only option now to try and re-installing the emby package?

regards

Paul

I just updated to 6.2.1-23824 Update 4 and am having an issue with https (for Emby) only. I can access http just fine, but get a Secure connection failed, The connection to emby:8741 was interrupted while the page was loading message when accessing via https.

DSM 718+

I have the https port set to 8741, the only thing in the log is this;

Info HttpServer: Adding HttpListener prefix https://+:8741/

Hi there, did you setup an SSL cert?

Yes, I have a LetsEncrypt cert. I checked the logs again and see that it is having issues with the cert though;

{{domain.tld}} is my registered domain name.

You could try that, yes. Please let us know how you get on.

Hello @@silvaimages

I've updated some of the test systems here to Update4, and we haven't encountered any issues so far.

Are you still having an issue?

Best

- James

Hi there

Just to let you know, that I couldn't resolve the issue so in the end I un-installed and then re-installed the Emby service.  Once re-installed the service run with no issues.  Its been running for a few days now and seems fine.

regards

Paul
