Xbox One X Emby App Issues

Any idea if this will be fixed in an upcoming beta release? I love helping out the community by being a beta tester but my family is begging me to switch back to stable release so that this will be fixed. If it will be fixed shortly I will just be patient and wait a bit.

You haven't as it pertains to recent beta servers. The log you posted on the previous page is from a month ago, before the issue you're mentioning existed.

That's how long I have been experiencing this issue. It hasn't changed. If you like I will post a new log when I can get to my PC. Earlier you said this issue was limited to the Beta server. I've been dealing with this problem for over a month. If the people on the stable side aren't experiencing this it may just be time to go back to stable release.

It is not safe to switch backwards from beta to stable. If you could please attach a new server log based on the latest beta release, that would be helpful. thanks.

I will post a new log. Although hypothetically it would be fine if I did complete uninstall and did a fresh install of stable release then perform a restore from backup right?

People are experiencing issues on stable so i wouldn't necessarily expect that to fix all playback issues.

Hmmm yeah. I'm not having a playback issue per say. It's more of an app issue. Playback say working great. It's just the app is freezing up in the all movies section.

Well I'm on stable and the person that uses the Xbox has the same issue you described above regarding playback. I know another user couldn't use their Xbox last year so I just got them a roku.

It happens on any video no matter the file type from the all movies section. Everything in my collection plays perfectly fine from every other screen except from the all movies section.

I'm not sure. I just know a few movies that were tried didn't work but that user is now using the new LG app without any issues.

 

Searching for the movie, home screen and then playing did work though.

Same spinning circle issue. Running latest 3.5 Emby server on Synology DS716+. Client device is Xbox One X. Spinning circle issue is common for movies and music both. If needed ja can get some logs.

If you could try beta server 3.6.0.2 and let me know if that makes a difference, that would be helpful. thanks.

I might try beta version. I have few questions about that. Can i go back to stable version? Atleast when stable 3.6 version is out?

I am experiencing alot of these issues too with the Emby for Windows app on my Xbox OneS

I frequently have to kill the app and start again

Worst part is when trying to search fo a movie unless it is latest release or because your watched section I'm pretty much dead in the water searching for moves.

 

I've also noticed that the server and my android have had application updates, is there anything on the horizon for Xbox?

Is anyone having a problem with episodes cutting out before the end if you've left it paused for a while? It just seems to freeze for me if I've left it paused. Has happened on a few different series.

 

Also just set up Live TV through an IPTV provider, is the EPG not available on the Xbox yet? It displays perfectly on the Web UI but absent on the Xbox.
