Yes...i give up auto refresh rate on ET, i set up TV on 23hz and it's good for most of videos (except European files at 50hz of course !) even it's not for ET UI display itself (not as smooth as 50hz...)

I use refresh rate switching and then manually (F key) switch from windowed then back to full screen as a workaround.  Yes, it is a long standing bug.  And as with several Emby problems it appears related to software not written by the Emby developers (Electron?).

For me using the proper refresh rate is much better than having the PC interpolate to a different rate.

Gap seems to be fixed with refresh rate switching on, but I do see some video glitching in fast movie video but also could just be my configuration, need more testing

you should have an eye if display video sync stays active

that could cause this

i don’t enable display video sync, Hdr colours actually look really good with this build Edited by PrincessClevage

Don't know. These are changes I tried to make a year ago but then had to revert due to others complaining about black screens at startup.

Maybe you guys can help find the threads from last March.

The changes made here simplify the window management which makes it less likely to run into quirks of other software we are embedding.

@ i can't find the recent topic from the guy who mentioned the app not having focus on startup, but these changes are likely to help with that as well. Thanks.

I don't know what's happening  with that test build, but it's jacked up! I don't get an overlay UI when playing something, and it totally messes up my display. It changes the brightness. I have to reboot to correct it.

What do you mean that you don't get an overlay UI?

Only the picture, no play button, progress bar etc. Nothing but the video playback. Something tweaks my display when I start playback. I should add this is not related to refresh rate switching. I haven't tested that. It seems to be messing with the Windows display coloring/brightness. Possibly related to Windows HDR10.

I think I know in part, what is happening. The window isn't locked down. I can resize it while the video is playing.

Now I have to reboot my machine, again.

Not sure what I'm supposed to try, but just trying Theater on same PC as server, don't get any gaps at edges of screen and all the Play etc controls are there and working playing normal non 4K, non HDR stuff.

@ Can you try this version as an alternate:

At the moment you won't be able to drag the window and move it. I just want to know if you can see the video OSD or not. Thanks.

That's good because a year ago you were one of the ones who had a problem with these same changes:
