Nvidia Shield Bluetooth sound static

I’ve been having an issue for some time now with the NVidia shield and Emby. I watch most of my TV using Bluetooth headphones when I play them through Emby there is small amount of static in the sound, however if I select “correct playback” from the player everything is fine no static. I’ve tested this with multiple shields and headphones and the results are always the same.   Is there any chance of having an option that toggles the “correct playback” on and off from the main settings so that all videos play from the start with ether “correct playback” on or off, instead of having to enable it every time a video is played?

I use bt headphones with mine all the time and never have encountered this.

Based on how you described it, I would guess it is related to the format of the audio in these items and how your system is processing them when sent via bt.

I don’t mean to disagree but I tested this on several Shields and mi Boxes using different bt headphones. All of them had slight crackling/static when playing back audio. If I may ask what model of bt headphones are you using?

Here’s the specs for one of the video files;

Butrate 192 kps

Do you use your BT headphones for TV or just music.? I'm looking for a new set without wires. But I  thought BT caused an audio delay...

I use Beats Studios with a cheap BT transmitter plugged into my AVR.

One thing I found with this setup is that you need to turn down the volume at the source (AVR) and then turn it up at the headphones or it will overload and distort.  Perhaps that is what you are encountering.

This entire process is completely outside of the app though.
