ShotToTheDome 7
So i'm getting a ton of garbled, pixelated, and freezing from any HDhomerun stream I load for livetv or dvr. The video stream is fine when tested on hdhomerun software on windows box, android phone hdhomerun app. I've upgraded my entire OTA antenna/coax setup to rule that out as well. Attached is screen grab of signal readings for channel This happens on all OTA channels with hdhomerun. My iptv tuners work just fine so seems like something specific to the hdhomerun. Server OS: Debian 8.9 Emby version: Version 3.2.30.19 (also downgraded to stable 3.2.30 and that didn't help) HDhomerun: HDHR3-us x2 with newest firmware (20170815) Client: Chrome browser on win 7 64bit (for this example) but also tried with amazon fire table hd 8, and Roku premiere+ In this example i'm playing the local ABC HD channel and it is being transcoded to my chrome browser. Example begins around 4:02ish pm today with hdhomerun tuner 192.168.1.185 in logs Any ideas on what is causing this? ffmpeg-transcode-8b71de66-4f68-4080-8e96-42b6b40ae0e5.txt server-63640944000.txt Edited September 14, 2017 by ShotToTheDome
mastrmind11 717
WHat are your xcode and live tv settings? That stream looks corrupt as hell.
ShotToTheDome 7
I've tried going back to default ffmpeg included with emby and that made no difference so I'm back to my more recent version. I checked the smart data on my transcode ssd drive and it is fine with no errors. I've included screen shots of livetv and transcode settings. Any ideas on what I can try to change? It seems to be emby related as every other program I try with the hdhomeruns works just fine. I made sure I tested with the same hdhomerun device 192.168.1.185 is the hdhomerun in question in the logs I just ran a test using plexdvr on the same ABC station and am not getting any stream corruption at all. So whatever this is, it is 100% specific to Emby Edited September 14, 2017 by ShotToTheDome
ShotToTheDome 7
So i switched to tv headend plugin after setting everything up in tvheadend and the hdhomeruns work just fine. Something is wrong with how emby natively interacts with them
thefloppydisk 2
So i switched to tv headend plugin after setting everything up in tvheadend and the hdhomeruns work just fine. Something is wrong with how emby natively interacts with them I'm glad to know I'm not the only person having issues. Dealing with corruption, too.
