Are you using embycon, I ask because I hadnt tested emby for kodi after the 4.6 server update.

For example if I go directly to Embycon addon, Global Lists, TV Shows, TV Shows - Next Up (20) it shows this:

 

If your addon shows that section, is just a matter to point that on any skin that allow shortcuts or widgets customization to show it.

Indeed it is, both addons shows next up and for the moment if you want to use the skin you need to manually point the widget to the addon section.

Notice recently when I go into a season it doesn't always default to first item, Even though have that option checked 

Hopefully we get a fix soon, Annoying when you don't realise and start watching an episode then realise it's not the next episode

I am experimenting with using both EmbyCon and Emby Next Gen. Currently, when I do a search, Embuary will return results both from my internal Kodi database (Emby Next Gen) and results from EmbyCon. Is there a way to configure it so that it returns one or the other, but not both?

I cant remember if embuary within its setting allow to modify the search parameters. 
if not you can try to add a Menu or Widget item for Global Search Addon for example, this addon search within your video library only.

Just wondering, am also having a quick experiment with this skin, and as far as I can tell, there's a setting in most skins so that when you click on a Movie from the list of Movie thumbs, it goes to that Movies detail page instead of just playing it. Anyone know if that setting is in Embuary and where it might be ? Thanks.

Hi, i'm having issues with the Favorites in Kodi Leia 18.9 . Previously before i upgraded Emby to Emby Nextgen , all my Emby favourites will be synced to Kodi and displayed on Embruary favourites below the Kodi favourites. Right now after i've updated to Emby Nextgen it is missing. Any idea what went wrong or how i can fix this?

With another skin yes, the arctic ones are good for that among others:

Arctic Zephyr 2 Resurrection

Arctic Zephyr Reloaded

Both are mods compatible with Kodi 19.1.

With embuary sinopsis on homescreen is not possible as far as I know.

I really like this skin under kodi on macOS.

But mrMC which I use on my Apple TV doesn't support other skins (except the installed ones). Is there any way to get this skin working on an Apple TV?

Any help appreciated.

The only way I know of is sideloading Kodi, with limitations (free apple certificates last a week needs constant refreshing or buying dev certificate for yearly fee  to avoid expirations) ot use a third party store to sideload it.

Thats one scenario if the circunstance apply for the user. Sideloading works (no jb necesaary) too (but as I understand sideloading kodi specifically is not working at the moment), but sideload through some third party stores works if you are interested.

Hi,

I am using the embuary skin for Matrix on my KODI install on Shield TV 2017 and 2019. In these installs I also use the "emby for kodi next gen".

 

Within the emby for kodi next gen thread I reported that when switching between different movies the cast switch is delayed. So selecting movie 1 the cast is shown. Than switching to the next movie the cast of the last selected movie is still there for 2-5 seconds and than switches to the right cast of the movie. This is also for cached data, so not only when the pictures were never loaded before. 

 

I got a tip from quickmic to test with the default skin and there the cast is switched immediatly without any delay. So I am wondering if I missed a setting here or maybe is there a way to optimize the embuary skin in code?

I think it's because Embuary uses Embuary helper, the default skin doesn't. Using Embuary, if you navigate around in the menus while doing tail -f on the kodi.log you can see a lot of these

 

INFO <general>: CPythonInvoker(792, /storage/.kodi/addons/script.embuary.helper/plugin.py): script successfully run
INFO <general>: Python interpreter stopped

Once all information of a movie is loaded it will stop. If you go to a movie without going down to the cast and wait for the "Python interpreter stopped" the cast information will be available without any visible delay, on my devices it takes about 3s for it to load.

Did you mean the 3s are not a visible delay for you? For me most of the time it‘s 3s too, but for me it‘s a visible delay . I think it would be better if the cast is empty, but switching to an other movie and seeing the old cast for some seconds feels a little strange.

 

Of course this is not a big Deal and I can live with that, but if that could be faster it would be great.

Of course this is not a big Deal and I can live with that, but if that could be faster it would be great.

That is a skin behavior matter, the practical solution right now is switching to another skin until embuary gets a proper version for matrix.

Will there be a Kodi 19 Matrix version?
Yes, but Kodi 19 won't be supported until the very last Alpha stages. So don't expect a supported version in the next 12 months.
Matrix is going to have a big overhaul that will affect all addons and especially the ones that Embuary requires. Nearly everything is going to break and some of them are already broken. Dependencies have to be reworked by the devs and some of them even have to find new maintainers because they won't be actively maintained by someone since months. 
Leia already took a longer timer until it was released. Longer as usual. And I think Matrix also will need this amount of time until everything is ready.
