Include Collection information on movie's title screen

What if it just said "Included in a Collection" so this could easily be worked into the UI of all clients, then have a list of collections down below, just like "More Like This" or the cast list?

That would probably be easier to work into the UIs for all the different devices without trying to figure you how to write 10 collections in text on the screen somewhere.  Would even work nicely on mobile devices like this.

Something along those lines is exactly what it will be.

Personally, I'd rather have the full list of Collections displayed more prominently (because of how I'll be using Collections in part as a way to convey info to the user, eg, sort of like Tags). BUT, I can live with any route that results in the Collection list for a particular item (Movie, etc.) being easily accessible from that item's detail screen. :)

If you want to display collections more prominently, you should display collections as a library.

Thanks much for the suggestion! But you're misunderstanding what I'm aiming for in this case. One of the ways I want to use Collections is as a way to convey details to the user (such as, that this item is only available from an online provider, like Movies Anywhere). So it is seeing that a particular movie is part of a particular collection (when I'm viewing the movie's detail screen) that is the goal. I unpack all this in more detail in the following post (see the final bullet in the list):

Any update on this? It seems to have been confirmed for version 3.6 but still not in place?

This didn't make it into the 4.0 release, sorry, but we'll try to get it in soon. Thanks.

Great!

But PLEASE fix items disappearing from custom collections when item is relocated/renamed.

Needs its own topic, but the entire collections system would need to be reworked so they are not tracked by path in collection.xml.
