TV file naming for episode number and episode title detection without remote database

Is there a way to name video files so that Emby will properly detect the episode number and the episode title? I have read through https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/TV%20naming but it mostly does not consider the episode title. If I use one of those conventions, then Emby does detect the episode number correctly, but I can't get it to display the episode title properly. It seems like Emby wants to detect the episode number and then use a remote database to look up the episode title to display. The problem is that I have some obscure shows that aren't in any database. The best I have come up with is

<show_name>/<show_title> S<season_number>E<episode_number>

With this convention, Emby detects the episode numbers correctly and shows the episodes as for example "2 - Title S01E02". Is there any way to format the name so that Emby detects the title and shows just "2 - Title" without the trailing "S01E02"?

Yes it will currently try to pull from internet metadata. You will probably want to disable internet metadata for that particular series or entire library. Pulling it from the file name is a possibility for the future. Thanks !

Thank you, both. I wanted to keep the library as simple as possible (mainly in case I want to reinstall Emby from scratch), so I wanted to know if it was possible to get what I wanted from just the directory and file names. Now that I know it is not, I went with the next simplest option which was to store the metadata files with the media files and then edit the title entries in the .nfo files.

I was having run around trying to get mine to also for 2 series I moved into my drive not pulling any data.

Is there a way to bulk meta the whole series 12 episodes or so?

I cannot figure the ID for themoviedb to attach to tv series on search IMDb works but on the second only half way no cover art
