I'm not able to reproduce the issue. I would suggest trying again with the next release of Emby Server. thanks !

@@JakeByr are you saying that you added hostame and ip address (loopback) into the hosts file and it started working?

Mine is already there but I am having similar issues.

Are you doing this with subtitles enabled? I think it is getting hung up on the subtitle extraction taking a very long time.

Yes I have subtitles enabled - Czech forced

When I turn off subtitles, movie start at less than 5 sec

No, the extraction just takes a long time sometimes. What you can do to avoid extraction is consider using our subtitle downloading feature to obtain external subtitles. Then no extraction will be necessary.

What we can also do is just have a setting to burn them in with transcoding, then we won't need to extract the subtitles. Burning them in might be painful on your server cpu but at least they will play.

This is so weird ...

because this is no happens on Theater app or mobile app, why then in the browser or streaming app?

so I don't have enough power on my server for subtitle extract?

for transcoding, I have enough power for 720p 1MBs :/

I'm downloading that now. I expect the answer will be the same, that it's just taking too long to extract the internal subtitles on your system.

Yea that one is working fine for me and so I suspect the issue for you is that it's just taking too long to extract. We will have to add a setting always burn them in with transcoding.
