Hi, although there are currently no sorting controls, the home screen displays recently added content sorted by date, which could help tide you over in the meantime.

Thanks Luke, too many tv shows would clutter to make it useful.  It's really a problem for movies.   I can be patient.  I just check in every once in a while to see if this is done yet.  I find it difficult to imagine that more people don't think this is a huge issue.  But if we are in the minority, I can wait.  Emby for WMC works very well (and is free) so it's not urgent.  :)

Hello

I was trying to change from WMC with the emby plugin to emby Theater and I only miss the functionality of order by. Everything works fine, moves, autoframe, live TV, sound, but there is no way to order by (Date Added, rate, etc) and filters as web brower does.

I think we have wait a long time for this functionality, At least for my stats is the only functionality that I miss.

Thanks

Same for me.

I'd also LOVE an option to make the spotlight frame only rotate through newest added content

I would like a way to sort Home Videos by Date Added / Ascending and make it stick, pretty frustrating that I have to re set it every time I go into that Library.

thanks

Emby Theater now has sorting, filtering, and view settings on just about every screen. You can now enjoy:

  • Sort order remembered
  • Filters remembered
  • Choose between poster view and list view
  • In poster view you can choose the image you want to use (primary, thumb, etc)
  • You can even hide the title underneath posters if you want

Enjoy.
