Emby servers are really responsives, and after login page all the job is done by your server at home... It's like you already host your server at home. At the other side, if Emby theater stays on Emby server it's the assurance to permanently have latest releases, and that is a big added value. What about the direct connect feature? You users just have to open an account on Emby website, you just have to link your local user to these Emby accounts and that's it! Using Emby Connect means that they have to sign up on an additional website. Right now, I can make a friend an account, give them the username and they can visit my server with the URL I provide for them and login with that account without any additional registration required. Emby Connect is nice, but if my users are only ever connecting to my server and I've made them all local accounts, it just seems like more of a hassle to them. If I could send them to www.myserver.com/theater, for example, and have them prompted with a simple login screen asking for their local account name and password to login to the Theater UI, that would be ideal for my usage. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My users don't have to enter any server info and it's easier for them.
