I can find it if I scroll down in Entertainment (I hope that's the English name). 👍🏻

Stupid "search" doesn't find it yet..

What's your experience with the update and what TV model do you have?

An LG C1. The application wasn't available before on that WebOs version, so I can't compare with previous versions.

It seems to work, and subtitles that normally don't work through DLNA because they are not supported natively by the TV seem to work just fine with the application. Haven't spent much time with it though.

@mbo did you check the applications in the Entertainment category? As I wrote "Search" doesn't find it, but the application is there and available.

Can anyone give their thoughts on the update? A few questions I had:

  • Are there any issues that you've run into since it came out?
  • Anyone that experienced slowdowns due to large libraries have that resolved in this update?
  • General thoughts?

Hello everybody!

Did the design application for Web OS, please vote and write what you think. If OK, continue to do a PS4 and XBOX ONE.

With colleagues think make applications. So far, there is no design of some pages.

P.S. I do not speak English well 😃

Sorry, really don't like that view. For me the him screen looked wasted to the right of the menu options. I wouldn't want All Videos for example or Last added there. I would go straight to Genres usually.

One of the things about the vertical view in Emby is that you can see Latest Added for various libraries on one homescreen, you don't have to go into each menu option to see what's added.

1.0.31 is surprisingly slow on my 2021 G1 compared to my 2019 C model. Everything else is fine :)

And yes - large libraries are no problem anymore - but my 2021 G1 is overall pretty slow. Other apps are as snappy as they should (e.g. youtube).

Great work!

It might be trying to use an animated scroll technique.  There has been some work in that area since the time this release was originally submitted, so I think that will be improved with the next update.

Thank you again for your and your teams work on this update. I know it has been a long process, but I do want to be clear the emby community really appreciates what you do!

Do you have an idea of when the next update would be released? Now that this update has gone through, does that mean it will be easier in the future as well, or do you think it will have to go through the same lengthy process?

I can confirm navigation on the application is slow when compared to running Emby through the browser on the TV.

Its not only scrolling through movie lists - even going horizontal through the homescreen and moving only through one row is somehow slow. And psxlover is right - as soon as i use the browser it is much faster.

Anyway - great work for getting a new version into the store!

Cheers

When you browser, do you mean the LG TV app or internet browser?

Is it slower, faster, or the same as the old version?

Accessing the server through the Internet Browser of the TV is more fluid than accessing it through the application

As I've said, there was no old version on the 2021 LG models. I'm guessing you have an older TV, and mbo wrote that the application works better on his 2019 model, so perhaps it doesn't affect your experience.

Navigation is fast now, instantly moving from item to item. That means though that there is no animation at all when moving between items in the application, as opposed using the web interface on the TV, which at least on my TV the animation is there and working properly (as opposed to the animation the application had in the previous version which was sluggish/choppy).

I guess removing the animation completely was a fast way to fix the slow navigation issue.

Ok, I'm putting this here because it seems to have the most pages and the main LG app status thread has been closed for some reason.

1. It's a bit weird how you update multiple threads (some really old) about new app versions.

2. Update posts always say stay tuned for the blog that rarely happens. The last one I can see is for 1.0.24

3. Can you open the status thread so updates can be discussed in a central location. I understand issues should have their own threads but when the blogs don't happen it would be good to find a place where people can comment on update changes.

I just wanted to say the the newest update has improved seeking a lot. Especially if you want to get to the middle of a film, it used to be a slog and now it's quite easy.

Hi, for those running a projector please try searching the LG store. According to LG we're in the store for projectors running WebOS 4+. Thanks.
