Roku interface support?

Unfortunately what you get is what you see as far as options. Short of someone writing an entire new Roku app there aren't themes available. Sorry there is a reason why the majority of Roku channels look pretty similar and that is because there aren't a lot of different display options.

Setup:   Windows x64 Enterprise box to Roku HD 2500 in separate room with Media Browser Channel.

Q:  The channel appears to work ok but how can I change up the interface a bit more? There are few options for viewing content in the channel or saving default views, etc. Is there a way to change themes?

That's a shame - about the UI. I just bought a Roku 3 from amazon for use here in Australia. It's a wicked device but the interface does look a little primitive from a view standpoint. I had no idea the developer had limited freedom :(

Is there a list of future updates planned for the Roku app somewhere?

Yup, that is why if you take a look at the majority of the various Roku channels, they all look very similar. There is only so much you can do. The ones that are different, like Netflix, have large teams that were able to develop each screen on their own. I'm sure it took those teams of devs months to make it too. I've tried making something custom and after a month spent on it, I put it to the side.

As for future features. I don't have a list anywhere other then inside my head. Support for things like filtering the lists of movies, etc. is probably the top of the list. Attempting to get WOL support added is another.

Yeh, the few channels i installed i noticed they look similar.

Navigating long lists of media is the only real pain, because you can only side scroll and there's no A-Z indexing or way to jump down the alphabet..

Be great if the collections we have in MBS appeared in the Roku app somehow!

I have a HDHomerun dual network TV tuner (that i currently use in MBC) will TV streaming every come to the Roku do you think?

Love the app though man - it's the reason i bought the Roku :D - and I'll most likely buy more or them..

Cheers!

Collections are already in the channel. Right below, movies, tv and music (if you have all 3). You can also move collections up to the top of the list above movies if you want in the preferences area.

Would be nice if we could choose a different background color or it imported the backdrops assigned to individual Collections.

Changing colors within the app itself will not happen. It would require you to modify the actual code to change the color. As for collection images. It does pull in collection images. Just make sure you've setup Primary images for each collection.

Doesn't pull backdrops. Does pull primary images.

The gray background is okay but not as lively as the channel could be.

The app doesn't have the ability to do backdrops with the roku sdk.

Yeah I'm not sure I understand what your asking. If your wanting a background image within the channel itself instead of the gray one, that isn't possible.

That is a shame. Should consider making the background darker and closer to black then...

Plex RARflix channel made an option to black background and I personally hate it. I change it back to original color (dark gray).

Black makes some items looks weird (like the yellow stars per ex.) and isn't easy on the eye on longer term, it pop out way too much.

Of course, a lot a users like it, I presume, but IMO, MB client colors in channel is perfect mix. When talking about the interface and layouts, MB client is better looking.

Again, one opinion.
