Hi,

Installed the plug-in yesterday and it looks really promising. Everything seems to be working great except playing live channels. I have tested using Chrome (both Win and Mac) and Safari with same result - nothing happens when clicking on the play button. Screen dump including developer console output:

dvblinkerror.png

Tested with:

  • Media Browser 3.0.55.18.7 (on Windows 8.1)
  • MB DVBLink Plugin 1.0.5514.37605 and 1.0.5515.35046
  • DVBLink Server 5.1.0 (on Windows 8.1 connected to HDHomeRun HDHR3 - EU)

Anyone experiencing the same issue?

-Henrik

 MB DVBLink Plugin 1.0.5514.37605

Log from MB when I press play:

Same here, I've verified that DVB Link is working properly via it's own web interface, and Kodi, but when I come to play a live tv channel in MB (Both the Web Client & MB Theater) nothing happens.

I pulled up the "monitor" screen in the DVBLink web interface, and the stream never starts at all.

I'm sure it was working on the MB when I first installed the plugin.

Keep up the great work, it's pretty awesome to have DVBLink on MB. Kudos for putting in the time to get it made ;)

DVBLink MB Plugin Version 1.0.5515.35046

DVBLink Server Version 5.10 Build 11030

DVBLink TV Source Version 5.10 Build 11073

@@pm314 Thanks it seems you are right!

I tested the latest dev release and playback via the web client started working again, will wait for it to be released in the next beta, as my main server is running the beta channel.

Cheers for the info! Saved me several hours of problem solving :D

Hi,

I just changed from ServerWMC to your DVBLink Plugin. I tried to reimplement my TV Show recording schedules.

I picked up the TV Show from its channel page and choose "Record Series" In the next dialog the day is marked. I added the option "record every time" and pressed save.

No it appears in my Record series Tab WITHOUT the day so it will record every time / every day ... there ist no way to get only one day implemented.

ServerWMC works fine to record one day.

Edit: Oh I just saw that this feature is not implented in DVBLink itself to record series only one day :-( ok I will go back to ServerWMC

I have DVBLink Connect, DVB IPTV and it all works fine in the DVBLink software and VLC. But I just get a blank screen in the webclient. The stream starts (seen in Monitoring on DVBLink), but then stops. What am I missing?

Edit: Apparently a restart is required...

Hi

Just installed the Dvblink plug-in for Emby. I can't seem to play live channels just says cannot stream channel. I'm running an older version of Dvblink 4.6.0 Build 9744 so might be an issue?

Tried to play the channels using Emby web GUI in Chrome and in the Emby Android app on my tablet.

Everything else seems to work however, can view the epg and channels list and play my recordings etc.

In the Emby dashboard under live tv, there is a section called Tuners I can't see anything listed beneath this, should there be?

Also just tried the DVBLogic Dvblink Android app and that still works can play channels in there OK.

Thanks

Live TV has started working Kinda!

In the Emby Server Plug-in settings for the DVBLink plug-in it had populated the username and password fields itself. (or maybe I had done it).

I wiped these out and saved and now I can play live TV Channels in the Emby web GUI !

Note: In the DVBLink Configuration Settings I am not using the option "Use Authorization" so I don't  need a username or password etc.

However there seems to be another problem. I have a Blackgold 3620 dual DVB-T2 tuner card. I played BBC 1 first and that worked OK. I then played BBC 2 and that worked OK. However when I tried to play ITV 1 or any other channel DVBLink is now reporting:

So its as if the previously played channels are not being stopped properly and releasing their use from the tuner card.

If I then attempt to play Live TV on another client such as Kodi Media Center. It says the same thing "Sorry, all tuners are currently occupied by other clients".

Which is obviously a big problem.

Many Thanks

Regarding the tuners issue the playback controls in the Emby web GUI when playing a TV Channel only have a Play / Pause button. Maybe if it was a Play / Stop button this would stop the stream and free up the tuner properly?

Thanks.

Hi

X closes the playback yes but the tuners are not being released so other channels can then not be played.

I had to reboot the DVBLink server to free up the tuners again.

I then in the Emby web GUI played BBC1 which plays OK on the first tuner, I then played BBC2 which presumably must then play on the second tuner. I then tried to play ITV1 but DVBLink then says all the tuners are currently occupied, at this point I am unable to play any other channels. However I can go back to BBC1 and BBC2 and still play those only.

Also any other clients that use DVBLink are then also unable to play live TV.

I did this test in the Chrome web browser on a Windows 7 PC, if that makes any difference?

Please see the Emby server logs here

Thank you

Hi,

I have updated the DVBLink plugin.

Now it uses direct streaming for live TV.

Can you please test it and tell me if everything works.

Cheers.

Hi

This new version seems to have fixed the issue I was having with the tuners not being released.

Thanks

I just played a TV Channel in Chrome browser on my Windows 7 laptop on same LAN as the Emby Server, when you say its now doing Direct Streaming, should it not say Transcoding in the dashboard?

hello, does anyone have full timeshifting available using the dvblink app? by this i mean the ability to watch a recording past the point at which it was started, an in progress recording. looking at the dvblink website the xbmc plugin had to provide this capability for xbmc users, it doesn't seem to be built into dvblink.

are there any other dvb backends that do have full  timeshift built in?

I'm having an issue where it doesn't always display the information under the live TV section in emby. I have to refresh guide data to get the channels and guide to show up
