web client, playlist, cant assign image to

I think its a bug, minor though. MB is pretty good at using the "folder.jpg" as the main image for an items thumbnail or poster.

Occasionally I may have to manually edit that, especially if I changed the ingredients of a movies folder contents.

This all works quite well, except for playlists. I would like to change the default image to something a little more meaningful. I go through the same process as I would for changing the image for any other media file. As you can see below, I've uploaded an image to represent this playlist and all looks and behaves as expected. However  the image does not "stick", I still have the default image when I go back to the playlists page. This works just fine for everything else, just playlists are affected. Looks like a bug to me. Is anyone else getting this?

Thanks!

Looking at the logs, I can see entries where MB detects a change to the primary image for a playlist.

then there is an entry in the log for refreshing the list metadata. If I delete an image I see log entries for that as well.

I don't see anything in the log that looks like an error in regards to this.

So MB is aware that the image has changed. Also note that as you can see above, when I enter the metadata manager for the playlist MB is showing the image that is supposed to be associated with the playlist (folder.jpg). However this image is NOT in the playlist folder (neither is anything else). MB is "remembering" this image because it IS copied into the metadata folder "D:\Users\perry\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\data\metadata\84". So if MB can copy an image to the metadata folder, it should be able to copy it into the playlist folder (along with the other stuff that should be there).

I also found that if I manually copy a folder.jpg into the playlist folder it is still not applied to the playlist and the metadata manager will continue to show the image from the metadata folder after I placed a different image in the playlist folder.
