Seems that I cannot play anything via Emby Theater ... looking at these logs look around 11:22-11:29. I tried to play some recorded TV. but the same result if I try to play any of my videos. just a spinning circle.

Client is emby theater running on windows ten, I am a 'premiere' member. Android client works fine.

Attempted to play "fast and Loud - Aaron's Falcon Racecar",

Unknown profile? is that it? and if so what do I do about it? I've tried "auto" and "no exceleration" as well as evr+ and madvr. still no video :(

Hi,

Can you grab the emby theater log? the emby-theater app data folder should be right next to the emby server folder. thanks.

So, yes it was set - I beleive that is a default? in any event I disabled that, and now it plays, the audio is no where near being in sync with the video though.

Any thoughts on that? Plex and Kodi are able to play the same files in sync.

Sure thanks in advance Babgvant!

Lenovo IdeaCenter Q150 connected via HDMI - HDMI to HDMI Switch with Toslink. Toslink to stereo (which is configured as 5.1). HDMI to 32" TV

Note: the HDMI switch is what breaks out the Toslink. The Toslink breakout is required for my old stereo, and the switch is required due to numerous HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI input on TV and 1 Toslink on Stereo.

Lenovo IdeaCentre Q150 Atom D525 1.8GHz 4GB NVidia ION ... Running Windows Ten Pro (client)

AMD Asomething 4GB Ram ... Running Windows Ten Pro (Emby Server)

Gigabit network - Business classs smart switch (Dlink DGS-1210-24)

Recordings come from: EmbyTV, MCEbuddy converted WMC recordings (MKV's I'll need to check at home what my settings are, but I know in this case I do two audio streams AC3 (stereo?) and AAC (5.1?)) and Usenet (who knows!)

Anything else that would be helpful?

When I get home tonight (3am your time) I will check web client on emby server, Android client on Galaxy Tab 4, and Emby Modern app on my RT and SP3.  And the windows Phone app, but if I remember right the windows phone app hasn't worked well for a while.

actually i think he just meant emby theater on all of those various systems. the other apps might need transcoding, so the data from them won't necessarily help debug this. thanks.

Oh ... I can stick Emby Theater on my SP3, I think my server will do horribly at it. I'll do that tonight. I get home around 9:45PM EST.

Got home a little early-

Testing on the following:

foxconn http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856119050 2gb ram / SSD HD - very slightly off (VGA and 1/8th stereo connector)

Surface Pro 3 i5 8gb Ram - Dead on

Lenovo IdeaCenter Q150 4gb ram - mechanical HD - way off ... also seems to reset itself to using bitstream audio (lsince Luke stated it is not the default how do I get it to not automatically select it?)

can also test Lenovo Stick 300 but have not.
Both of the Lenovos are conected to TVs and are contected via HDMI

I did not test emby server (Video card is paltry on it).

Also... Just noticed that strugglesa bit the video itself, results are the same with an SD video file.

I noticed some issues since yesterday as well. With my personal account everything was smooth and normal but the general family account was slow to play media (spinning circle seems to vary between 5-30 seconds).  The videos do play fine once they start.

I also noticed almost every line in the log file says directshowplayer/refresh

System is W10, 16GB ram, AMD 5800K bitstreaming is enabled. Server is emby stable.

In ET make sure to setup bit streaming to none (not HDMI or SPDIF) in the Audio settings section. If it's not saving this value then there must be an issue with the settings functionality.

Given the information you've shared I think it's possible that there is a driver issue. Either with the GPU or NIC causing high CPU utilization. Please make sure that everything is up to date with what is available from the component's manufacturer (i.e. not Lenovo).

Also, I wasn't able to confirm that the D410 supports HWA video decoding (it does not support Intel Clear Video, but sometimes this was just branding). If it doesn't then everything will be decoded by a single core Atom CPU. If other players work, it would be interesting to monitor CPU utilization and rendering statistic during playback (press "o" during playback in Kodi).
