UWP on Xbox One

MS still will need to approve the apps before they will show up on Xbox One so even if it gets submitted today we wouldn't know when it will show up.

Also, there will be a large number of UWP apps submitted for approval in the coming days. I suspect MS will want to slowly roll out apps that are well vetted before perhaps opening the reigns slightly and automating the approval process.

And now you can lose control as well. :)

App is approved and is being pushed to the store. :D

Once again, you rock! Although the store is showing an update but does not show it as available for Xbox One. And I can't check my Xbox for a while since I am at work. :(

Ugh. Stupid Windows Store doesn't let you copy text from the update logs. I had to manually type the whole changelog into AppRaisin.

Emby UWP updated and now on Xbox One!!!! http://appraisin.com/article/17487/emby-uwp-updated-and-now-on-xbox-one via @AppRaisinHQ

However, thank you @@7illusions for posting a changelog!!!! I had to read it multiple times before I noticed the "handle mobile on-screen navigation bar"!

There's a new update to the XB1 console they just released today.  I'm installing that now and hoping I can see the app afterward

1045 was just a small update, and still no UWP app

Are you sure you need an Xbox One update? Universal Apps are already available on the console. The problem was simply that they weren't accepting submissions of Universal Apps unless they knew you (i.e. Microsoft employees could get their apps certified. See Cast, Baconit, and the Music player for external media). They have now opened the flood gates by allowing Devs to mark Xbox One as a deployment target. See my first post for the link on that.

Store on phone and desktop are still showing the old releasenotes and according to my dev site on ms, the binaries are available but store isn't updated yet. It will probably take a few more hours.

Smart!

Can't wait until the end of the week when I can try it out.

Great work @@7illusions.

Yes, that's it. It's been out on phone and desktop for weeks now. We are just waiting for it to show up in the store on the Xbox. If you buy it once you get it on ask the Windows platforms. So go ahead and buy it now.

Man as I sit here waiting for this to show up on the store on my xbox one I'm reminded that patience is a virtue...one I really should consider cultivating.

Excuse me, I'm going to go click Refresh a few times in the store...

This would have come in handy for me last night. The remote control feature in both the UWP app and the web interface fails quite a bit with my TV. Since PlayTo didn't allow me to resume my movie, I had to get back to where I was manually. Took about 5 minutes. If the Xbox One app had been in the store it wouldn't have been an issue!

Come on Store, get moving!!!

Still not seeing "emby" in the Xbox One Store.

Either the official one, or @@7illusions' one.

:(

The "official" one, which seems to be just a webwrapper for app.emby.media, was not targeted for Xbox One at this point according to @@Luke.

I am also not seeing @@7illusions app though. A ton of other apps have hit the Xbox One and it's frustrating the MS is apparently taking their time to approve Emby.
