Media Playback stops about 1 minute before end of file

I'm unaware if this is a server or app issue, but since I can only replicate it on the app for iPhone, I'll file it here.

 

Basically, when playing an item that requires transcoding, playback seems to stop, with no warning whatsoever, when there's around 1 minute left. I've checked the logs, and they don't seem to indicate anything wrong. I've verified this behavior on 2 different iPhones (However, connected to the same server).

 

Playing the same item using Firefox on Windows and Linux works fine.

 

I'd be happy if anyone knew what the problem is, as I'm trying to convince the misses to move from Plex to Emby. Having to miss the crucial last minute of her favorite show does not help at all

Hi, right now under certain conditions this is a known issue, although 1 full minute is unusual. It's usually 30 seconds or less and only affects the ending credits. Right now it is a side effect of our conversion without transcoding that stream copies the video. It can potentially be improved in the future. For now, you can work around it by reducing the in-app bitrate so that it's low enough to force a full video transcoding.
