mikeB2210 26
Hi, I have some problem with the movie information window that should be popup by pressing show more info and I think its a emby problem. So lets start. Today I have made a clean installation of libreelec (Jarvis 16.1) v7.0.2. I only have made some settings about the language and when I start a movie that I make a choice to see more information: Then I add a movie folder (NFS) I can see the added Movies When highlight a Movie and press "OK" I can make a choice to "show information" Pushing that button will show an extra window with more information Ok till here everything is fine and working like I exspect. Now I installed Emby for Kodi I made some settings about the IP for my server and my username and I changed the playbackmode to "Native Play" I pusk "OK" to see my Movie, I can make my choice to see "more Information", but pressing this button will not show the Information Window... it only shows a window where I can start the Movie What can I do to see the Information Window?? Hope you can help me
Angelblue05 4130
@@mikeB2210 I don't think you installed the add-on correctly. First you need to remove any Kodi sources. If you change playback mode in the add-on settings after the content was already synced, you need reset the local database to apply the settings. I am able to open movie information just fine no matter the playback mode used.

mikeB2210 26
If you go to Videos > Files > Is there any entries listed other than Emby entries? No Do you think I can solve the problem when I delete my media library on the emby server, then sync the Kodi app, so that all entries are deleted. In next step build a fresh library? Angelblue05 4130
Ok, I guess it's confusing, because you show a library and then you mention installing Emby for Kodi afterwards? Was there content in your Kodi library at that time? If so, please do a local database reset and let your Emby content resync to Kodi to rule out any weird effect (launch the emby for kodi add-on > reset local database). As I said, I do not have this issue. I press "i" when selecting the content and the movie information shows up. Angelblue05 4130
... I don't understand how this is not working. Can you tell me how you are accessing the movies? mikeB2210 26
I have tried the Menu "Movie" also tried "Videos". I have tried to access the Movies over "Movies / Genre", but still the same result. What is the best way to Install Emby for Kodi? I can deinstall the app and I also can delete the Bibliothekon emby server. Is it ok to make a clean install of Libreelec, then install Emby for Kodi (without Contend in the Emby server),set to native Play. Amd at last to fill the Bibliothek?? mikeB2210 26
I see, will try tomorrow a new install ;-) But it will be great when you think about it. Angelblue05 4130
I don't think a reinstall would fix this. However, is it possible for you to zip up your MyVideosxx.db database file? Something in the structure must be off. Location of the database: http://kodi.wiki/view/userdata

Solution Angelblue05 4130 Posted August 31, 2016 Solution Share Posted August 31, 2016 (edited) Ok, I can't find the discrepancy at first glance. I added the database to my own setup and I see what you see, the option for more information is missing. Just for fun, can you try the following: In the add-on settings > sync options > change playback mode to add-on. Then launch the emby add-on > Reset local database. Does it then work? Let me know. Edit: @@mikeB2210 Found the issue. Why does your path include ":" like nfs://{ipaddress}:/ <---- this is what is causing the weirdness. Without the colon, it opens the movie information correctly. Check your paths in Emby, do you use path substitution? Once this is corrected and your path looks like nfs://{ipaddress}/, do a Reset local database, and it should work fine using Native playback mode. Keep me posted. mikeB2210 26
@Angelblue05 you are my HERO, thanks a lot for your help, it works I´m starting with Kodi and Emby a few week ago and I found with "google" this topic and in Puithove topic there is an explanation for "Path Substitution". In his NFS path there was the colon. I copied this and it works for playback, so I think everything is ok till I want more....
Angelblue05 4130
I think the colon was honestly a typo in the post you linked. Anyway, glad it's working now.
