Genre Cleaner - Multi Library issues

Hi

Having an issue with Genre Cleaner to do with Music Genres

When i pick the Music option under settings > click Initialise - i only get one genre - comedy (irony alert!)

i have checked my music library and as you would expect i have lots

Now what might be throwing the plugin off is that i have three music libraries (Audio Books, Music, Podcasts)

Audio Books only has two genres "Audio Book" and "Comedy" - Music and Podcast do not have comedy as a Genre

So

1) Why is the plugin only picking up one library - limitation? bug?

2) Why only picking up one genre instead of two?

Seams to work for tv shows and movies but i only have one library of each

Windows Pro 10, 3.1.6082.28134 and plugin 1.0.1.8

Thanks

To do the initial population for music genres it asks the server for all genres associated with Albums.  So, is it possible that your genres are defined somewhere other than the Albums or that, somehow, your setup isn't producing albums?

All three Libraries have albums

Album Libraries

Audio Books - 29

Music - 376

Podcasts - 14

When viewing the library and you choose the genre option they appear as expected

Not sure how i would define them in a differnt place as the information was populated by the server scans - was going to use this plug in to map some genres as i have done for tv and movies

if you need more info or logs let me know

Okay what is the physical structure of your Music?  Emby reacts to folder structure in different ways.

Music

   Artist

      Album

          Track

Try the beta version of the plug-in and see if it will populate your initial music genres.  You may need to be patient...

OT: Tested on Dev and Beta servers.  Sometimes you have refresh the page to get "initialize" button.

Can someone post a server log from when they did the initialize with the beta version of the plugin?

@@ebr here you go, went through initialize and save for Music (timestamp 2016-08-28 22:21:42.3781).  Deleted the config xml afterwards.

Luke, here is the query they have returning only a couple of random entries.  See anything obvious?  Guys - does the user running the dash have access to all the libraries?

/emby/Genres?SortBy=SortName&SortOrder=Ascending&IncludeItemTypes=MusicAlbum,Audio,MusicArtist&Recursive=true&StartIndex=0&userId=06d517a29e044718816b34ce7f76c674. UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.80 Safari/537.36

Also, Happy, can you try doing this with the browser's console window up so we can be sure something isn't failing at the js level?

as i am about to rebuild my library i just deleted the audio book library the one with the comedy genre - re scaned and cleaned the db

when i access the plugin now i get "no genres found" popup at the bottom of the screen

console below

possibly not related but if i search for a music genre from the home screen they do appear in the search results - but appear as MusicGenre - but film movie genres are listed as just genre not moviegenre when search for

As i am rebuilding my server today i just tested with one music library and it failed with no genre found as with two - so likely multiple music libraries not the issue

[edit]

Have just started rebuilding my database

shut down the server deleted the old library.db and rebooted to a clean database

set up one music library (of music albums) and tried the plugin again - came up with no genres found even though they exist via genres page of the music library

Almost like something was cached.  First time I initialized I Musical again so I clicked the x to remove it and initialized again and all is well.  See all 16 genres from my collection.

v1.0.2.0
