leforban 1
Hi there !I recently discovered Emby and it seems really interesting. Unfortunately I can't get it working in Kodi, I'm stuck on the "Library sync thread has excited" error. I've red a few topics but nothing solved my issue so far.I'm using a MySQL data base (could be the cause of my problem ?) Anyway, here are my logs ! Thx for your help ! kodi.log
im85288 1493
Hello, Yes the addon will not work with a MySQL database. The way it works you do not need to have a shared database as this addon keeps everything in sync.
leforban 1
Wow ! That was quick ! Thx !Ok I get it, seems legit... Is there some kind of tutorial in order to "migrate" the database ? Should I delete the sources or just remove my db location in the advancedsettings.xml file ? Thx
Solution mastrmind11 717 Posted August 25, 2016 Solution Share Posted August 25, 2016 (edited) Wow ! That was quick ! Thx ! Ok I get it, seems legit... Is there some kind of tutorial in order to "migrate" the database ? Should I delete the sources or just remove my db location in the advancedsettings.xml file ? Thx I had the same problem moving from MySQL to Emby/Kodi. Yes, you have to remove the db location from advancedsettings.xml. I also deleted all the .db files from Kodi so Emby could start fresh (you might want to back the whole folder up if you might revert back to the MySQL approach). Then sync. This should almost certainly solve your problem. However, If that doesn't work, go into the Emby addon settings and "reset local database". If that doesn't work, go into the Emby addon settings and change the number of threads it uses to sync to 50. Then sync. btw, once you get Emby working, it's so much better than the MySQL approach... every Kodi client regardless of the version is in sync at all times.
