Darrell262 0
Hello, I am having an issue getting the web client to playback in DTS or Dolby Digital 5.1 When I play a video with VLC I get my 5.1 or DTS if the video supports it with my optical cord pluged in my tv computer and into my amp. I have a hdmi cord plugged from the computer to the tv. and then an optical cord from the tv to the amp as well but I don't get 5.1 or DTS. only PCM Digital Pro Logic (not 5.1) I have the computer (windows 7, but 10 is same) set to play to the optical out as default. I am wondering if there is a way to make the web app to play 5.1 or an option to make it do this. Is there a windows app that will talk to emby server ? Luke 37060
Hi, welcome. No, it's not possible without having the server convert the audio. Microsoft edge is the only browser that supports Dolby and none support dts
Darrell262 0
What about a PC App to support this. Also. while I have your attention. I paid 10$ for the android app. If I wanted to pay for the lifetime membership can I take 10$ off of the 99? And one last question. It shows Mobile Sync something I would be interested in not being available for android. Wondering if you had a timeline for that. 100$ is alot to pay with out having these issues to me looked at. fuzzthekingoftrees 10
What about a PC App to support this. Emby Theatre can do pass-thru for Dolby and DTS including the HD variants. If you're on Windows 7 or 8 then there is Emby for WMC which can do standard DTS or ac3. Or there is the Emby addon for Kodi.
RanmaCanada 344
There is a windows app that does this all, or there is also Emby Theater, which you need premiere for.
