Library Set-Up issues in ET

Hi all

Well a few weeks ago i upgraded all my machines to win 10 and installed ET on everyhting in the hope that at some time in the not to distant future some-one would create a them which uses cleararts and discs.Anyway since I have made the change I have a great number of issues with my library set-up along with a  few other things which  seem to have changed. In general I luv the funcionality of ET but I am finding all the stuff below really detracting from the whole experience and need some help.

 

To understand, I was a legacy user running Emby for WMC using the crystal them which by the way is still the hands down best them ever created when it comes to bling.  See the problems below.

 

COLLECTIONS

1. My first problem is with collections, my collections are setup in folders with all the collection artwork inside. The reason for this is that I am a fanart artist and there-fore am working on the collection artwork constantly. What I dont understand with the new set-up is what am I supposed to be doing with my collection movies and artwork to work with the new automated stuff. If I just put all the movies in 1 folder and let automatic boxsets do its thing then where do I store all the artwork, collection logo's, thimbs, banners etc.?????.

 

2. The second problem is that I used to have a folder for kids collections which kept them seperate from the adult stuff, now when I go to collections it pulls all the adult and kids collection folders into 1 view.

 

3. The third problem with collections is that when I enter the collection folder which shows the movie folders inside there is no collection metadata showing and mo collection logo showing.

 

BACKDROPS

1. It used to be that I would  have the backdrops in the movie folders and they would be named backdrop, backdrop1, backdrop2, and so on. The themes wouldpull form these. I have noticed now that ET is pulling form the folder inside the movie folder which is called EXTRAFANART. The problem with this is that the jpegs in the extra fanart folders doesnt seem to come from the fanart site and arnt necessarily the best quality and seem to include very bad screen shots etc and also jpegs with wording on them. I checked my server and I have fanart as the first image fetcher with minumum quality set at 1920 x 1080 and maximum images at 10. It only seems to pull 1 backdrop from fanart which it places in the main movie folder, when I check the site there are a lot more backdrops available but they are not downloading.

 

GENERAL SETUP & ARTWORK NAMES.

1.I would guess that a lot of my problems are because I am somewhere between legacy and the new thing. I really need to know the optimum folder structure.

 

2. I have also noticed that the server recognises multiple names for the same type of art. With backdrops it seems to recognise fanart and backdrop but I have also noticed that it looks in the extrafanart folder       first. I did a test and deleted the extrafanart folder and then it went to the backdrops. I actually want it to ignore the extrafanart folder and only go to backdrops.

 

3. The other problem I have is with the TV series folders, there is no missing episodes or seasons showing and there is nothing showing in the upcoming folder.

 

 

I would really appreciate some help with the above, I've dumped Emby for WMC in support of ET and to help the developement but I amnot finding it that enjoyable right now.
