McChen 7 Posted July 18, 2016 Share Posted July 18, 2016 When watching Live TV, Emby for Android TV does not release the tuner when you stop the stream or change channels. This issue seems to be only with the Android TV version, the Android phone version of Emby does release the tuner properly. Even worse, somehow the reset tuner button in the Emby management interface seems to have disappeared so I can't manually release the tuner. These are the versions that I'm using: Emby for Android TV 1.2.24g Emby Server 3.0.5986.0 (Windows) ServerWMC Build 1225, assembly version 1.0.0.60 ServerWMC Emby Plugin 1.0.0.67 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have to go into the Windows desktop on the Emby Server and reset the tuner with the ServerWMC UI. Oddly enough, the Android phone version of the Emby client releases the tuner just fine, only the Android TV version has this bug. It also just cropped up recently, in the past couple weeks or so. Of note, it did release before I set maximum stream bandwidth to 5Mbps, but that is the only way I can get live TV streamed. I hope this helps... Can you please play some Live TV and then send the log from the app. Then come here and tell me when you did it and the Emby user that was logged in. Thanks. hakras 5 Posted July 23, 2016 Share Posted July 23, 2016 I am seeing the same issue. For me, it seems to only be occurring with the HDHR Prime tuner. I have 1 HDHR Prime and 2 HDHR Connects. When I go to the Devices page in Live TV, the Prime tuners all say "watching" while the Connects say "available". I missed a recording this week due to this issue as well.
