If I use the prepadding feature will this require two tuners if two shows are scheduled to record sequentially?

Hi, currently, if you have two tuners it will utilize them. If you only have one, the second show will initially fail during the overlap but the recording process will keep retrying every 60 seconds until it succeeds. This is something that can be improved in the future with a buffer to accommodate both.

I guess that would explain why I have all these 1 min recordings. I record a lot of back to back sitcoms and had a 1 min postpad.

I was theorizing that the first show would start to record, say 9:00. At 9:30, the second show would start to record. Then, at 9:31, the command would go out to stop the first show but for some reason, both shows stop.

I couldn't figure out how to confirm that it was always the second show that gets truncated because I record time is not shown in show details, only original air date.

I set my default padding to 0 and went into each scheduled recording and set padding to zero but it still seems to be happening. (I may have missed a setting)

I'll keep testing.

Well no, that doesn't explain it, it shouldn't be creating one minute files.

Just after I posted I saw another similar post that said that the recording only looked like it was 1 minute. (recording description and progress bar) but in actual fact it just the metadata that was wrong.

I tried playing one of my 1 min recordings and after 1 min, the progress bar was at the end but the recording continued playing.

I stopped play, did a refresh and now it shows up as the actual 30 minutes.

So it looks like the recording is ok but there is a bug in the metadata.

Hope that gives you a clue.
