Beta 3.1.4(2?).0 - No Media Images in W10 IE11 Web UI

After updating to Beta 3.1.4.0, there are no images for my media showing up in the Web UI in W10 IE11.  All media is listed in the metadata manager, and the images show up fine when Edit Images is selected.  It should be noted that the Web UI displays properly using the Edge browser.  I reinstalled the latest stable release 3.0.5972.0, and all images for my media showed up in the Web UI.  As soon as Emby updated to Beta 3.1.4.0, the images were gone again.  Cleaning the database and rescanning the library does not resolve the issue.

I've reviewed the logs, and I don't see anything out of the norm.  I've attached the log file that was created after reinstalling 3.0.5972.0, and the log file that was subsequently generated after updating to 3.1.4.0.  Hopefully someone will see something that I am missing.

It's even worse for me, lots of blank pages :) Good old Internet Explorer. So clearly I broke something. Maybe it's time to have IE only support server administration and that's it. We'll just see how bad the damage is.

Glad to see I'm not the only one.  I tried to make the change to Edge when I upgraded to W10.  My initial impressions were mixed...there were too many things that felt "half-baked".  It didn't help matters that it kept crashing all the time either.  So I eventually went back to IE.  I'll probably give Edge another try when the next major W10 update goes live in July.

Anyway, hopefully its an easy fix.  Given that there haven't been any other posts about this issue, I'm starting to suspect that I am the only person still trying to use IE at this point.  Old habits die hard I guess ;-).

Unfortunately more and more things like this will happen with IE11 since MS is no longer updating it as of Jan 2016.

Well for the time being, looks like it will be getting a stay of execution :)

My understanding is that support and updates for all versions of IE prior to 11 were discontinued in Jan 2016.  I didn't think Microsoft had made an official statement identifying an expected end of life date for IE 11.  A quick google search turned up a number of hits identifying that Microsoft has actually said that efforts have been made to "... help Edge and Internet Explorer 11 work better together in [the July 2016] Windows 10 Anniversary Update."

Thanks for the update Luke.

even still no matter the date, the point is that they are only providing security and critical update for IE. It was already an outdated browser to begin with. The development community is moving forward fast with newer browsers and IE is going to continue to be left behind.

Even if MS doesn't kill IE completely why would you want to use it?  Its god awful looking and slow.

Just install Chrome or Firefox and you will be so much happier.

I've used both Firefox (and Chrome to a lesser extent) in the past.  Neither made me any happier.  So far IE has done everything I need it to, and I don't find it slow or awful looking.

Opera is a great choice by the way. It uses the Chromium rendering engine which means you get the technology benefits but without all of the Google app stuff. So if you're looking to avoid that, it's really a nice option.

I'll check Opera out.  It was the "Google app stuff" that had me staying away from Chromium.

Work forces be to use IE11, so it would be nice to be able to still manage the server at work. Not a big deal though.

There's no intention to prevent basic tasks such as that from working.
